4th of July Weekend

Thank you for all of the messages, emails, FB comments, text and calls on the 4th, they were very much appreciated and thoughtful!

Reid's uncle Mark, aka Poosch invited our family up to his cabin for the weekend of the 4th.  We were so excited!

Everything but the kitchen sink
Quick stop for our 2 for $4 Caribous!

On our way! Mommy drives, Daddy works on Grad School Stuff, Girls sing and dance and ask questions

We headed up North to Backus Friday morning.  At first we were bummed that Reid had class Thursday night, so we couldn't get an early start, but then we heard the horror stories of how unbelievably bad traffic was, everywhere.  We cruised right on up Friday morning and arrived just before lunch!

One quick potty break, preggo problems :)

I'll let the pictures do the talking

Quick boat ride before nappy naps!  The girls with their Captain!

It was a bit breezy, but still love being on the lake, Rainy Lake!

Of course we got to get up close and personal with these guys, Poosch even knew where they were nesting

Hanging with Banana Banana

Rockin their 4th of July Glitter Headbands
First swim, even got Gramps in!

My Fish! I was impressed with how much Libby loved the water.  Sally was her usual swimming self, loving all of it!
Heading back up for Dinner. "Mom, can we take a picture by Jesus?"-Sally Libby, "I'll hold my flag too, for America's Birthday!"

Collecting rocks with Nana while Mommy and Daddy got dinner ready
 Grill Master
 Eat up!

Snaps! or Pop-its, the girls loved it, at least when they weren't duds :)
Libby was excited she got one to work

Concerned for Uncle Poosch, Daddy threw a snap at him.

Sparklers, safety first!

Helping Gramps put away the bags

Testing out the moped helmet :) We had a few Dumb & Dumber references and scenes throughout the weekend.  Some on purpose and some not...
"Mom, can I do a sparkler by the flag and you take a picture of me, for America's Birthday?"-Sally

Girls are sleeping soundly, adults get to enjoy a peaceful fire.  I forgot how amazing just a plain roasted marshmallow tastes.  Preggo problems, again :)

The Guys and their cigars
Holy Cow, did the neighbors put on quite a fireworks display! Very impressive, and the girls slept through the entire thing!

Happy 4th of July!  Pictures from Saturday and Sunday to come the rest of the week!
