Antibiotics Work!

Here's proof that Antibiotics work!  This was maybe a day and a half after L started taking hers.

A little Bit of This & A little Bit of That

Weird, it's below zero today.

Here is what we've been trying to enjoy lately:

Front row seats to a private concert!

"I think we should talk about it." Sisters trying to get along :)

A successful dentist visit

Cavity Free!
Libby watched intently! She declared she's not ready for her turn yet.  We'll wait until she's 3, just like we did with Sally.

"Hey Mom, can we have curly hair today?"

We needed a change of pace and TO GET OUT, so we had a lunch date with Daddy!

And now Mommy's enjoying a peaceful nap time!

Tomorrow's the last day of February.  And THEN will we get some weather relief?! PPPPPAAAAWWWWLEEEEEEEEEASE?!

Snowed in

Last Friday we had yet another snow storm and schools were closed.  At one point Delores sent a witty text, "Quit shaking the snow globe!" :)

We looked up some crafts on pinterest and landed on this little gem

Paint in baggies, practice writing letters and shapes and whatever you'd like to make.  They pick their colors according to the Princess they were dressed as!
I'm starting to get claustrophobic, I can hardly see out our front windows anymore :S
Sally wanted to continue the arts and crafts to the stairs with a green crayon, grrrrrrr
Happy Monday, Happy New Week.  We,Can.Do.This!

Pretending it's Summer

We're getting sleep again, everyone is happy :)

Libby took to the antibiotic and it's working it's magic.  Thank the Lord!

We also got dumped on with more snow and the temperatures have dropped yet again.  Someone said they heard on the news this is the most snow we've had on the ground since 1981.  Wowzers!

Grandma Peggy risked her life to come down on Friday.  She got a hotel room for us to come and enjoy the pool benefits and then she kept the Bigs for a slumber party!

Sally had a blast! She was super excited to test out her new goggles!! She was a fish in the pool!

Thank you Grandma for giving us a nice little break from this never ending winter.

They were only a little bit excited!
Loving her goggles!

Pretending it's summer

Grandma deserved a beer or 4 after her 4 hour drive down!!

Pizza Par-tay

Each Big was supposed to bring their favorite book and favorite game.  Sally brought Zingo!

The Bigs

Each kidlet got a turn to take a picture, this was Lucy's turn

Thanks Grandma for the awesome memories!

Making a Comeback!

We're making a comeback folks!  Libby woke up and was acting like her old spunky self today!

I decided yesterday that enough was enough and I needed to bring her in to make sure all was okay.  I needed the peace of mind that her lungs were in good shape. A week plus of no sleep and no naps is long enough.

She has an ear infection, probably a double.  The Doctor saw it on one year and didn't want to bother her by checking the other.  This is a first at our house.  We've never had one of those before.  She never complained about her ear hurting, I would even ask her if her ear hurt, among other things.  Tough cookie!

The Doctor assured me that it probably has not been there since all of this started, that it recently developed with all of the drainage going on "behind the scenes."  They are more prone to them at a younger age because their ear canals aren't fully developed and are very close to something or other.  I was just glad to have an answer!

We text Daddy to keep him up to date before we headed to pick up her Amoxicillin prescription.  Daddy informed us that he's allergic to amoxicillin.  I guess it can be hereditary so we have to keep a close eye to make sure L doesn't develop any sort of a rash.  So far so good!

She's been taking the medicine like a champ.  Remember, Libby HATES taking medicine.  "Listen Libby, the Doctor said you MUST take this, so you have two choices.  You take in on your own or mommy forces it."  She decided to do it herself. Girlfriend knows when Mommy means business.

She asked to go to bed at 5:30 last night.  It wasn't her worst night, but we are FAR from getting back to normal.

We had one of the most peaceful mornings we've had in a very long time.  Libby actually ate.  Both girls listened and followed directions the first time and I even had time to eat before rushing off to drop Sally off at school.

Here's some proof that she's coming back.

"I need bring my sun gasses to Target.  It sunny in there!"

A few Sallyisms:

At school they went around and asked each student what love is.  Sally said "Love is making a picture for my sister."  Love that!!

She recently found out that she gets to go to a hotel with Grandma and her cousins on Friday.  She knows there will be some swimming involved and she's been wanting to test out some goggles.  "Mom, do you think you could put some goggles on Facebook to see what stores have them?"  Ruh roh! Too much bookin!

A mom dropped her son off late to school and she stuck around for a little bit to watch and listen.  When we went to pick our kidlets up today she told me she had a story about Sally from circle time.

The class was trying to figure out what the word of the day was.  They knew it started with the letter P and that it was the name of the leader of our country.  Sally boldly raised her hand.  When she was called on she said "The Pope!"  Good answer!!!

We got to enjoy the beautiful weather yesterday and plan to again today after naps!

"Hey Mom, can you throw me in the snow?!"
Happy Hump Day!

Miserable

It's been a full week since we've been cough free at our house.

Sunday night-Friday night Libby would wake crying at least 5 times throughout each night.  It was like having a newborn again.  She wasn't hurting, she was just frustrated.  She was and is miserable.

Sometimes she'd have a fever and sometimes she wouldn't.  She HATES taking medicine and hasn't had much of an appetite since Wednesday.  It's been pretty fun hanging with a sick, coughing, frustrated, tired, hungry toddler.

Sally wanted to join the coughing party, so she was laid up pretty much most of Thursday, but she had a quick recovery! She was back at school on Friday.

This lasted all of 5 minutes until she started coughing.  This shows how tired she really is because she can usually only sleep in her crib

We've improved some in that Libby still coughs throughout the night, but has only been crying out one or two times.

We have the nice convenience of being able to email our pediatrician. She said it sounds like a virus that just needs to run it's course.  Unless she spikes another fever, there's no need to bring her in.

I think this was from Tuesday, a warmer day that we actually got out for a walk to get some fresh air and clear the lungs!

Miss Kari knew I needed some cheering up and surprised me with my favorite Caribou Order!  Thank you Kari, you're the best!!

We're asking for a rain check for Valentine's Day, as we usually go out to Famous Dave's for dinner, but we were feeling less than the best

She tries so hard to feel better

Our sick little love bugs!
We were thankful that Cousin Thomas stopped by to visit this weekend and change up our long, coughing days :)

Missed you Erin!

The girls showing off their new jammies.

Mommy got these for Sally as I felt bad she wasn't getting much attention with me having to constantly "nuggle" Libby so she wouldn't walk around crying and hacking up a lung.

She was in need of another pair of jammies.  They're a little big, but very snuggly!

L-Train can finally fit in her jammies that she got from Nana and Gpa a while back

**Remembering last Saturday when we were cough free, getting sleep and loving life!

Hoping for some sleep tonight as mommy is on the verge of having it or kicking it!

**Happy President's Day!

Happy Birthday Uncle Joey!

Libby is happy to pass the birthday torch on to Emily :)  Last year, we spent the morning with Uncle Joey to help celebrate his birthday! This year we were at least able to run his gift over on his lunch hour!

Remember when we all used to look this good? :)

Happy Birthday Brother, Love you!!

Same Old

Not a whole lot to report on the Craigmile Crew front.  I guess that can be good, it can also mean we're smack dab in the middle of the winter doldrums.

We had a low key weekend with donuts, Mass, Sunday School, homework and lots of Olympics.

USA!
Our February chalk board

I love that Sally can write and spell and make me cute little notes and hide them under my pillow.  Sweet girl with lots of love!

This morning they wanted to play Frozen, ballet and ice skating...

Libby even got some braids

Mornings are still my favorite!  They played pretty well so I could do laundry and clean the house!

We're excited about the weather forecast and the warm temps that are suppose to arrive!!

**Happiest of Birthdays to Uncle Marc today!! We hope you have a wonderful day and a blessed year ahead!! Love you!

Dreaming of Summer Days

We learned of a story time at the Como Zoo called Lil Explorers.  There is a new theme each week.  The story time was great, but we really enjoyed the conservatory and the HUMIDITY!!

It sure felt good to feel our MN bones thaw for just a minute!

Checking out Honey, the bunny

Green and black frogs

Day Sleepers, frogs stuck to and sleeping on the glass

"Hey Mom, it's like we're going on a safari!"

It smelled delicious in here! So fresh and alive, unlike our dead, frozen tundra out our front door

Checking out the fish

Here fishy fishy
We'll be back, that's for sure!

Happy Weekend! Happy Everything!
