Christmas 2010

We had a wonderful Christmas! It was nice and relaxing! Lots of time to laugh and talk with family!  Sally is at the great age where she can entertain herself so we don't constantly have to be watching her and playing with her.  It helped that her cousin Cannon helped to entertain her as well!  Here are a few pictures from Christmas Day!  Thank you Nana & Pa for hosting such a wonderful Christmas! We love you!

Santa brought Monkeys!

"I'm gonna get you!"

Every time she or Cannon walked by, they had to push the button to make the penguins dance.  "I LOOOVE Penguins" :)

They were so good to each other!

Yep, even her toenails are red.  Would you expect anything different?

Merry Christmas!

Christmas Hugs! XOXO

She loved playing with the dress up beads, I think these are Great Grandma's!

I almost forgot, but not really!

I almost forgot that today is the anniversary of my first day of being a stay-at-home-mom.  I almost forgot, but not really, because I'm reminded every day when our little lady wakes up.  How my heart flutters with excitement as to what we're going to do today.  What is she going to do that's going to make me laugh, cry, pull my hair out, and laugh some more.  It's the hardest job I'll ever do, but oh, it's the best job I'll ever have.  The rewards are endless!!

However, I don't want this to be about me.  It's about my other half, my better half.  The one who allows me to be home with our little.  The one who works his butt off every single day because he knows how much it means to us, to me, to be here with her.  He'd do anything and give anything to make sure his girls are happy and you know what?  He does a pretty darn good job!  Thanks Daddy (Reid) for all that you do for our family, so that you could make Mommy's dreams come true, and mine too! You're one of a kind! We love you!

Love,
Your Girls!

She's already got her two front teeth...

this is what's next on Sally's Christmas list...

She was even practicing last night...

We celebrated our family Christmas last night.  Sally got a few new toys and a new shirt.  Her shirt is her favorite-a true girl! It was the first thing she thought of this morning when she woke up. DOTS! She exclaimed!

We're headed over the river and through the woods to Nana and Grandpa's house today.  We hope you're blessed with lots of love and laughter with friends and family this Christmas! Safe travels!

Merry Christmas,
The Craigmile Crew ♥

Book Worm

As you know, Sally loves to read books.  She has now started to read books to others.  Take a look...

Towers

For the longest time, Sally only cared about knocking down her blocks. When I told Reid she finally built a tower, three high, he didn't believe me.  She finally made a tower in front of Reid this weekend, 4 high!

Yesterday she was all about tower building.  When I spotted that she had made a tower seven high I had to grab the camera.  Here she is oh so proud!

**she followed me to get the camera, that's why she's so far from her tower

She wanted to try for another.
It didn't go so well...
When the blocks fall she loves to say "Oh No! What a mess!"
Yeah, I know, I'm turning her into her mother ;-)

Holidazzle

For quite some time now, my family has gone to the Holidazzle. This year it didn't quite work out. So, on Saturday we made a last minute decision and decided to go. We're so glad we did!

Sally was GREAT! We're still talking about what a good girl she was! Daddy also had a lot of fun showing us his walk into work and where he goes for specific things.

Sally isn't as smiley in these pictures as she usually is, but don't let that fool you.  She was having an awesome time.  I think she was in awe of all of the people, lights, music and of course stars :) She would whisper little things here and there.  When the marching band came by she was sure to say "March, March, March!"

I'm not going to lie, it was a little chilly. We made up for it by getting a hot chocolate before the parade started.  By the end it was really just chocolate milk.  It took Sally about an hour to fall asleep that night, I think she was just so excited with all that she experienced.

Once again, so fun to see Christmas through her eyes!

The line was quite long at Caribou.  Sally could have been entertained for hours with the waterfall!

Sally says, "Are you serious mom, a picture right now? There are more floats coming!"

Again, she's not impressed with having to look the opposite way as the floats were coming!

I think this is my favorite :)

There was a very nice guy in front of us who let us get down by the street so Sally could have an upclose view of Santa!

She was waving and saying "Ho Ho Ho" as Santa went by.

Hi Dorthy

Every once in a while I let Sally watch the Elmo portion of Sesame Street.  At the beginning of the show, Elmo says Hello to the viewer. He then walks over to his fish, Dorthy, and says, "Say Hi Dorthy." Sally always responds with a "Hi Dorthy." I love that she thinks she needs to raise her voice when she says it.  I suppose so she can match Elmo's pitch.

**Check out Sally's Christmas bling she's wearing :)

Away in a Manger

She's a smart one, this little girl. She especially can spot Jesus a mile away. Whether it's the banner in her room, just seeing the Church building, or a new picture she's never seen at her grandparent's house.

She gets excited during the procession at church and says Hi to Jesus as they walk up with the crucifix. During the recessional she'll say bye bye to Jesus and blow Him kisses.

She's especially obsessed with the little nativity scene we have.  She sat on my lap the other day as I was explaining who each person was.  She proudly points to them herself and shouts out the names.  At the little age of 1 1/2 she gets it.  She gets what Christmas is all about, and if you ask, she'll shout, "Jeeeeessssuuuussss!"

Snowflakes

Our neighbors so graciously gave us this kid's table.  Their girls are growing up and have outgrown it so they decided to pass it on to Sally.  She wanted to warn me that there was some coloring marks on the table.  All the better!

Sally loves to color.  When she sees a pen, pencil or crayon she'll walk around for five minutes saying "calllooo can, calllooo can." {Color crayon}  She kicks her legs with excitement when I ask if she wants to color.  However, remember, I said I'm borderline OCD. I love to watch the girl color, but it makes me nervous of where else she might color.  No need to worry about getting it on her "new" table! We're happy all around.

While we were snowed in we got some use out of her table.  I told Reid it was up to him to think of the art project :) He decided on making a snowflake with her hands.  You know, because each snowflake is different, and the snowflakes Sally created are extra unique because they are made with her finger prints.  Can't be duplicated! Good thinking Daddy!

We especially like that the chairs are the perfect size. Mommy and Daddy can still fit on them without being uncomfortable!

We put the exersaucer into storage and put this table in it's place.  Mommy shed a few tears. Time goes so quickly!

She's getting so big!
