Bittersweet

It's starting to really hit us that this moving thing is real life :)

We're having the "last" of a lot of things.  Still trying to enjoy the ride along the way.

We had a bit of a moment Sunday night.  Out of the blue I started getting teary-eyed, and then when I needed to put it into words to explain to the girls I started crying a little harder and then the hubs joined in.  I'm still amazed at the girls' understanding of it all, and how they're so okay with it all.  Reid made a good point, everything Sally (and Libby and Emma) does lately is new and exciting, so another something new for her, isn't necessarily out of the ordinary.  Especially because with all of the changes, the core of everything, our family, isn't changing.

The nursery is what gets me choked up the most.  So many hours clocked in that room.  Sooooooo many memories and transitions.

We know there are many many more wonderful memories to be made and we're very excited for that too.  It's just hard to close up a chapter and move on to another.  Especially when this chapter was action packed.  Everything that we've created as a Family has started right here on Florida Ave.  Grateful for all the pictures, and videos we will forever treasure :)

On another note, Reid is a rockstar packer.  I, however, am not.  Even though I'm a very organized person, I am known to throw a bunch of random things in a box just to get it packed.  Reid takes the extra minute to make it organized and extra safe ;)  We compliment each other well.  I'm handling the behind the scene planning, scheduling and organizing so it's not pure chaos and Reid's handling packing everything up, so we're out of here on time.  The unloading will be a little switch-a-roo.  I'll be great at finding places for all of our belongings so it's nice and organized and Reid will hang with the girls so Mommy can stay focused.

Only 2 more nights here, we can do :)

This weekend, our chain was sure getting small.  Each member has their favorite color represented and that's who gets to pull it off :)
Last week we had a day at the pool that was top ten :)  We all got along well and I made a point to soak up each of the girl's current stage of life they're at

Emma made the cut for her first Saturday morning donut run, for the last one in SLP

Reid's the packer, so during Sally's quiet time, I took her to the movie Inside-Out.  Hellllllllloooooooo, not the best of ideas when the movie is all about moving.  I really hadn't read what the movie was about, other than explaining feelings.  Geeeze loueez, I was a bit of a mess, but so were all of the other adults in the theatre :)

Since Sally got to do something special with Mommy, Libby got to do something special with Daddy.  Painting, of course!

We found birthday hats while packing, and made the most of it :)
Emma found the box with markers and scissors...
After the cry fest at dinner, we ended with a dance party in the kitchen :)
 Emma's first Sister Bath!!

Happy Early Birthday to Thomas!!

Little Bit of This & a Little Bit of That

Random left out pics:

A week or so ago, I had a bridal shower in Albertville and on the way home took a little pit stop at the Outlet Mall.  Daddy took the girls bowling. He always totally exceeds my expectations when he's solo.  I think he likes to sit on the sidelines when I'm home, because clearly he's more than capable :)

Making Banana Bread for Walker, making a few extra muffins for Delores
Miss Hollywood, Cheering on Sally at Soccer
Cleaning their shells and rocks they collected from the beach at Walker
The Monday after a vacation is usually the worst day ever.  No groceries, piles of laundry, and extra whiny kids
Haven't tackled running errands with all 3 very often, this trip was rather successful!
Someone is getting a bit closer to crawling, it'll still be a while, but she's def interested
Quick little walk with youngest while Daddy took the Bigs to soccer
Thankful for the Breunig Family as they picked Sally up from her park thing, had her over for dinner and brought her to soccer.  She had a great time and it was a nice little break to get a little extra packing in.  Thank you!

Another Daddy success when Mom wasn't there, a picture of all the soccer stars and their sisters! We're sure going to miss these friends!

As stated before, Sheila, our realtor is the best of the best.  She also refers top notch people.  We had a fan installed in our bathroom.  The nicest Handy Man ever.  First off, he called me a Saint as her listened to me "hang" with the girls.  Sally was having a bit of a rough morning and he complimented me on how calmly I parented.  Said he had raised 3 kids as well and never was he that calm.  I told him it would maybe me a different scene if he wasn't there, but the compliment was much appreciated.  A few days later we received a handwritten thank you in the mail from him.  How nice is that?!

If you need an awesome handyman, let me know :)

We had a fun playdate at Liz's house with Milo and Benny.  Liz and Miss Maria came too! Unfortunately we didn't get any pictures.  Thanks Lizzy for having us over!

Yesterday Emma had her 9 month check up and Sally had her yearly physical...after 5 it's just yearly physicals and no more well visits :(  Thankful for Delores as she kept LJ at her house.

Happy to report we continue to be blessed with Healthy Girls!

Sally is 67% for weight and 60% for height.

Emma's 9 month Stats:
17 lbs 3 oz- 19%
26.7 inches- 21%
45cm - 77%

She's seems to be our most petite yet, we'll see how it all plays out :)

One more story before I forget.

We were headed home from Walker.  Emma was sleeping and the Bigs were quietly listening to their book on CD.  Reid was getting ready to pass a car on a two lane highway and Libby quickly exclaims, "Woah, Dad, you're comin' in HOT!" :)

K, for reals now, I think I might be done blogging until we're in the new place.  Prayers appreciated!

Emma's 9 months

Last week Emma turned 9 months! We celebrated while we were in Walker!  She had many firsts!

We did a little photo shoot before we left

She has 8 teeth, 6 up top and 2 on the bottom.  LOVES all things food, unless she has to be fed.  So, yep, she's done with baby food! Nursing 3-4 times.

Sits like a champ.  Can go from sit to on her tummy.  Starting to pull her knees up to get in a crawling position.  Can pivot and make her way around a room in record time.  She often gets stuck under the couch!

Loves to stand and hold things.  Mama's not quite ready to let go yet, afraid she'll smash her mouth with all of her teeth.

Loves to drink water, and play in the water/lake/bath/pool.  Is a very messy eater!
Busy busy busy, she's ready to be on the move.  Chats and knows how to make silly sounds to get people's attention.  Can say Mama. Doesn't like to see mommy leave the room.  Shakes her head when she sees daddy, like she's ready to wrestle with him.  Her sisters can get the best belly laughs out of her.

Hiccups at 9 months...then and now ;)
<

Can clap, do 'So Big' and wave.

Piggies. Her hair continues to amaze me

Sleeps well at night, pretty close to 10 hours, quick nurse and back for another 2.  Two 2hr naps during the day, give or take.

She continues to be the sweetest little thing!
She had her first trip to walker!
 First corn on the cob

First taste of Jim's small potatoes and couldn't get enough

First Boat Ride

Her first swim in the Lake, Leech Lake to be exact

Happy 9 month sweet baby girl! Thank you for adding your sweet personality to our crazy crew! We all love you so very much!

My posting might be a bit sporadic in the next few days.  We're almost down to single digit number of days until we move.  Time to get packing!!! Hoping to get Walker pictures posted, otherwise I'll never get around to it!
