Big Girls

Izzy came over to play the other day.  It was so fun to see Sally truly be the Big Girl.  Izzy, also got to be the Big Girl for Libby! These girls will be lucky enough to grow up together.  Wonder if there will  every be a boy thrown into the mix?

Girlfriends

I'm very fortunate to have a great group of girl friends.  As a stay at home mama, this is a very important aspect in my life.  I need a break every now and then and these girls, provide for me the kind of break I need.

We care about one another as if we were sisters.  We've been there through the crazy times, the hard times, the fun times, and the many times to come!

We had a great weekend up in Alex, this past weekend.  Every where we went we turned heads.  It's not every day a group of nine good looking ladies walk around Alex.  We were always asked what is the occasion?  Where did we meet? Do we see each other often?

You know what? We treat friendship as a top priority.  We try our darndest to get together at least once a month.  Some months are better than others, but it's the effort that counts.  Many people responded with "Wow, I wish I could get together with my girlfriends that often.  We're lucky if we make it twice a year!"

An added bonus to this fabulous group of girls are our significant others.  We all get along.  The guys have almost as much fun getting together as us girls do.  It makes it easy! No drama!

Sally got to come along this weekend, to dress shopping and try on her flower girl dress.  We didn't have to twist her arm too far to get her to try it on.  When it was time to take it off, well that's a whole 'nother story!

Friday!

Yippy, it's Friday! We're headed up to Alexandria for the weekend.  Reid and the girls will be hanging with Nana and Grandma.  Mommy will be in and out to feed the little one, but mostly she'll be playing with her Girfriends!

It turns green when it's okay for her to get out of her bed.  Sally likes rules, routine and structure, so this has worked very well so far.  Now, if only Libby knew her colors :)

The best part is that I bought a cheaper used one, and they ended up sending me the nicer used one that should have been twice what I paid!

Big Park, Great Friends

We headed the direction of the big park, Saturday afternoon. 

Libby cooed and giggled as she loved being outdoors all weekend.  Sally was sweaty and pink in the face, as she loved running outside all weekend.

Lucky {or maybe unlucky, depending on how you look at it :)} for the Gearman's, the big park is by their house.  They invited us over for a BBQ. 

I have to keep reminding myself that it is only the middle of March. This weather is so weird, but I'm not complaining.

Back to the Gearman's.

It is so fun having such great friends so close {6 blocks away}.  We had to leave around 7 to get the girls to bed.  Around 9pm Laura text to ask if we were up for a night cap, so they just walked on over.  How fun!

Last week when Reid was traveling, I had the opportunity to participate in a Research Study.  I called up the Gearmans to see if they were up for watching the girls for me.   They were more than excited.  It was the first time Miss Libby had someone watch her other than a family member.  I text when I was on my way home to see how everything was going and this was the response I got.

They go above and beyond my expectations for babysitters :)

When I walked in the door, Sally took one look at me and started crying.  She was mad that I was home.  That's a first! Clearly Kyle and Laura are very loved here at the Craigmile house.  If Libby could talk, I'm sure she would agree!

3 months

Little Lady is 3 months today! 

We would have thought you were crazy had you told us we'd be spending the entire day outside when she turns 3 months.  Upper 70's today, are you kidding me?  We'll take it!

Libby gets happier and happier every day.  I think it's because she's finally figured out the napping thing :)

Last night she slept from 8pm-5am and then 5:15am-8:15am.  She's a rockstar!

She usually naps 2-4 times throughout the day, usually totalling 4-5 hours.

She recognizes her Mommy, Daddy and sister and loves to talk and smile at us. 

She's become very laid back and willing to hang out wherever.

She's taken a liking to the Bjorn on these nice days when I'm chasing her big sister.

She always has her fingers/fist in her mouth.  Sophie the Giraffe has become her best friend {Thank you Christensen's!}

She thinks she's pretty cool stuff when she gets to join us at the dinner table in her Bumbo chair.

Libby enjoys talking and swatting at her friends dangling from her bouncy seat.

Thank you Miss Libby Jo for bringing us so much love these past 3 months.  We love watching you grow each and every day!

It's a happy place around here, as Daddy's back!

She's been sleeping wonderfully at night, 12-14 hours with only two feedings.

Snakes

Two more nights and three more days until Daddy comes home.

She's getting bigger and bigger every day!

 The nice thing about #2 is that you aren't wishing for the next stage, to see what that's like.  We can take it nice and slowly and enjoy each day, knowing what will come next.

 Knowing, that it will come on it's own and not to rush it or hope for it too soon.

 Because, before you know it, they'll be turning 3, playing by themselves and getting ready for pre-school!

 Amazing how the weather can have such an effect on people's mood.  Crazy how fast our day felt yesterday when our play area was extended beyond the walls of our cozy little home.
