Reading Books

Sally would read books and have books read to her all day if she could. I love how she's becoming so independent {with certain things} and able to entertain herself for longer periods of time.  She sat like this for at least 30 minutes today while I got ready.

Reid and I often have little competitions over who can capture a better picture.  We were walking to the park the other night and spotted this great Fall tree.  Which picture do you like better??

I'll let you know on Monday who took which picture.  Have a fantabulous Fall weekend!

Baby, Baby, Baby, Oooooh

We're on the home stretch!  Jenny has 4 weeks, give or take.  I'm already in my third and final trimester! Where did the time go??

I'm so glad we were able to get another one of these photos before Baby Nash made his or her appearance!  We didn't even try and stand exactly the same as before, it just worked out that way.

A few things about these two pictures:

The one on the left:
*We both ended up having girls, even though everyone thought Jenny's was a girl and mine was a boy
*We thought we were about 4 weeks apart, but the girls ended up being exactly two weeks apart

The one on the right {sorry it isn't the clearest, it was taken on my phone}:
*Amazing what having a little color from the summer can do for a person, especially a pregnant mama :)
*We both don't know what we're having.  People are leaning more toward Jenny having a girl and that I'm having a boy
*This time we are thought to be about 8 weeks apart, time will tell...

Change in Plans

We were suppose to clean the house today, but since the sun decided to come out and I am my own boss, we ditched that idea and headed to Lake Calhoun.  For a stroll around the lake in search for ducks and an adventure at the park.

Girlfriend what happy with the decision!

The house can be cleaned another day!

Change your plans and get out there and enjoy your beautiful day!

**Congratulations to District 206 as the voters passed a referendum for a new high school!!!

Sally Reads the Bible

Sally's prized possession is her little children's Bible.  It's the first thing she wants when she gets up in the morning and the last thing she says good night to.  The other night when Reid was reading it to her he was leaving out more than one word here and there.  To our surprise, she pretty much has the whole thing memorized.

I know it's hard to always understand what she's saying and if you had the Bible in front of you, it would make more sense, but it's still worth a listen :)

Daddy comes home tonight! YAY!!!

Happy Weekending!

Sunnies

Sally loves to wear sunglasses.  We've had lots of extra play time together since Daddy has been busy with school, work and some play {Gophers}.

Cleaning with yellow shades makes it a little more fun, you should try it :)

Miss Diva

Tiffany wanted a few photos of the new shirt she made for Sally {super cute!}, so she could update her website. Sally didn't want to take pictures before going to school {ECFE}.  Once I explained they were for Tiffany and she would be showing Izzy she decided she was ready for the camera!

I've been getting more and more comments lately that Sally looks just like me.  I've always heard it was Mini Reid with a bow in her hair.  Baby #2 what will you look like?

Gopher Fans

As you may know, there are some BIG Gopher Fans on the Craigmile side.  Sally got to partake in some tailgating on Saturday with the Crew! It was fun having cousin Cannon up to play as well!

Love these two!

Mini Gopher Fans

While the crew went to the game (a win!!), I took the kidlets home for nap time.  We turned the game on after nap and they heard me shout touchdown!
Touchdown!!
It is fun to watch how Sally interacts differently when her playmate is older than she is.
Learning the proper way to play with trucks!

Daddy's favorite Gopher Fan!

We traded the trucks in for dolls!

Big Girl Room

We had a great weekend balanced with relaxation and productivity! Sally wanted to give you a quick view of her room that she's so proud of!  For the most part it is complete, a few things here and there are missing, but I won't point those out.  Enjoy her silliness!

Stubborn Girl

I'm liking the change in seasons.  Sally is not liking the change in her wardrobe, or any one's for that matter.  This girl is particular about what she wants to wear and how she'd like her hair, and she'll definitely let you know if she doesn't like something.  The other day I came out of  my room wearing jeans and a long sleeve.  She stopped in her tracks and said, "No Mommy wear that!" while pulling on my long sleeve shirt.

When it was her turn to get dressed she kept throwing each piece on the floor and asking for a beautiful dress instead.  We had to sit down and have a long talk about the changing of the seasons and getting sick if you're not dressed for the weather.  Hopefully each day will be a bit easier and she'll begin liking to wear warmer clothes.

You wouldn't know she didn't care for this cute outfit-Thanks Nana and Grandpa!

Because it's Friday, I thought I'd throw in a quick video of Sally's favorite songs: Jesus Loves Me and Amazing Grace

Happy Weekending!

Sally's 2nd Year Photo Book

Last year I created a photo book from Shutterfly for Sally's first year.  I decided to keep with the tradition and make her 2nd year.  Hello upgraded Shutterfly photo book.  Holy options!! I was super excited to see all of the extras they had added.  I may have spent a little too much time on this one, oh well, she's worth it.  It's a good thing these babies will have opposite times of the year for their birthday so I'll always have a chance to stay up to date on their photo books!

Baby C-Mile and I had our Glucose test this morning.  I was apprehensive about this test, because like so many other preggo mamas, I failed it the first time with my pregnancy with Sally.  I was bound and determined to not have to sit through another three hour test and instead, pass it the first time around.  So I cut back on my sweets and my carbs this week.  I just got the news that we passed the test, thank goodness, now excuse me while I enjoy a bowl of ice cream ;)

Oh yeah, baby is doing great! I'm measuring a week under, which is always nice to hear and he/she has a nice strong heart rate of 140, jumped to 150 for a bit when he/she was kicking...probably from that stupid sugary drink you have to chug for the glucose test.

Big Girl Bed

Sally transitioned to her new bedroom and big girl bed, upstairs, on Saturday for nap.  She has done great so far...much better than I anticipated!

She got up twice for nap and I laid with her for a few minutes and then she slept her normal duration.  Bedtime went even easier.  We did our same routine, read books with Mommy and Daddy.  Mommy says Good-Night, Daddy stays for a few minutes to snuggle and say prayers.  She went right down without a fuss.

We did hear some pitter-patter at 5:45am Sunday morning as she found her way to our bedroom.  I was impressed that she came down and was able to find us, as she has never seen Reid and I sleeping, because she's always been "locked up" in her crib. I was surprised she was smart enough to come down rather than be scared and cry...like I think I would have done, had I been her, waking up in my new bedroom.  I think she wasn't able to find one of her nuks and was a little chilly from the extra fans we had going {it gets hot hot hot upstairs}.  She willingly went back to bed and slept until 8am!  Yesterday nap went perfectly as well as last night through this morning.  It's as if the Little Lady has been sleeping there for weeks!

So proud and excited!!
**More pictures to come of her new room later this week!

Sally's 2nd year photos

Happy Friday! My girlfriend, Liz, who took Sally's 2nd year photos dropped off the remaining photos this week.  Here is a quick video of the pictures.  Be sure to listen to the words of the song...Reid's pretty proud of his find on this one.  Of course it makes this hormonal preggo mama tear up every.single.time! I'd recommend searching YouTube or downloading the song to hear the rest of it.

Enjoy!

**I know your due date is really more like a "due month" because you never know exactly when the baby will chose to make his/her arrival, but according to our due date we are under the 100 day mark.  Only 99 more days until our due date! We're getting really and I mean really excited around here! D a y d r e a m i n g about snuggling with an infant!

28 months

With the cooler weather up in Ely, Sally had to wear warmer clothes. The feeling of putting pants on after a long hot summer can be a bit different.  She wasn't a fan!  She kept asking to wear a beautiful dress.  I decided with this week of nice weather, I'd let her pick out her dresses each day because I know the dress wearing days are limited, hence the fact that she looks like she's ready for Easter Mass.

Bob sure knows how to make kids happy :)

Celebrating Pat's birthday! Not sure who's more excited about the cake :)

We went to the Bear Center where you can get up close to view them! Ted, Honey and Hope.  I think this one was Ted.

Dinner time...grapes!

They rest the grapes on the back of their paw and then eat them.  Such good manners!

One last ride on Horsie before we hit the road!

Thank you Bob, Donna, Pat, Tiff and Isabelle for your hospitality and a fabulous weekend filled with many memories!
