Memorial Day Weekend

We didn't head to Alex until Saturday morning.  Sally doesn't get home until 4:15 and Reid had to work and we didn't feel like sitting in traffic...road construction season!

Friday night we took a walk to say Hello to the Horses!

We were on the road Saturday morning by 7:30! I was pretty impressed!

We were excited to meet baby Madden!!

Emma was the biggest baby hog!

We had a fun kickball game!

Then we quickly hit up the mini carnival in town, before the rain hit

Then we came home for Birthday Celebrations!
After 5 O'clock Mass, we had a wonderful meal the best Ribs we've ever had!

We headed to Parkers to visit Great Grandma Gen!  Generational photo...clearly Emma was a little clingy

We lured Emma in to Joan's lap with Twinkle Twinkle Little Star

Checking out the Memorial Day Parade
Thank you Nana and Grandpa for a wonderful weekend!!
We hit the road late morning.  We stopped to see Meggers' new house and deliver her birthday present--so fun seeing you!

And we wanted to avoid the crazy holiday traffic.  We made it home for nap time and a little afternoon sprinkler play time!

Emma was napping for some of it and wasn't too sure about it once she woke up

Happy Kick-Off to Summer!!

Fri-Yay!

Happy Friday and Holiday weekend!!

We had a super duper week!  Daddy was off Wednesday and Thursday for school events and because he had a few days to use before June.  It was great fun having him around!

Soooooooo we may have had some beginners luck, but Miss Emma is a pretty regular pooper in the morning.  In fact, if we're going out and about I can tell her to go and she will.  Her pediatrician said, if we wanted to try the toilet a little her and there....similar to when Libby was this age.  Well the other day at Breakfast she told me she had to go so I decided to put her on the toilet, sure enough we had a successful trip!!

She was so excited to see how proud her sisters were!

She's looking older and older!
Mama was so proud she gave her her very own poptart!  We had another successful trip to the bathroom this morning, all guided by her!

Since there is no more pre-school for the year, we got together with Ali and her mom, Jodi for a little play date!

Squirt Squirt Squirt! Can't wait to get this girl in a pool or a lake soon!
Thanks Auntie Jenny for the cute suit!
Wednesday, the first graders had a surprise Butterfly Party.  Throughout the year when they would read a book they would fill out a circle and hang it around the room.  The class created a caterpillar.  While they were at Wednesday Mass, a few volunteers and I helped to sort the circles and decorate for a butterfly party.  They started the year as caterpillar readers and bloomed into beautiful confident butterfly readers!  Sally's reaction when she walked in to the surprise.  She was excited because Daddy got to surprise her twice in one day.  They also had a Dads at the door to start the morning.  I love our school!!
We're so proud of our super duper reader!
Mommy loves when she can surprise her!
Little Sister got to be in on the story.  Littlest sister and Daddy took a little walk so they didn't distract anyone :)
Daddy surprised the squirrels one more with double nerf guns...that'll teach them to stay away from his Cardinal Bird Food...or something like that
We got to sneak away Wednesday to go visit Kyle and Laura and meet their new baby GIRL! Clara Catherine!! We're so excited for them.  Congratulations Gearman Family, she's perfect!
Yesterday was Sally's 1st grade picnic!  A beautiful day and fun celebration!!

Sally killed it during the bear crawl portion of the relays :)

After Libby's swimming we got to swing by Camp Tanadoona to meet some of the summer counselors.  Sally cannot wait until it's time for camp!!
After mowing the lawn, I snapped a few pictures of our pretty flowers blooming on our vines.  They seem like Hawaiian flowers to me :)

Last Friday of First Grade! Sally and Kate were matchy match this morning at the bus stop :)

Have a wonderful and safe Memorial Day Weekend!  We're excited to spend it with Family!!

Weekend Fun!

Libby had her last day of school on Thursday! It's summertime for her! We celebrated with a one on one trip to DQ!

She was wanting to try and jump in by herself at swimming class.  Someone's getting more comfortable in the water!

We had a super fun weekend! The weather was absolutely perfect!

Friday morning we met the Kroger family a the Mother of all playgrounds!! Minnetonka Regional Park.  We've always heard great things, it was fun to finally see it and experience it!

Friday night we had a last minute girls night, Welle was making her way down from Berrrrrrrrmidji! So much relaxing and lots of laughter, such a fun night! Thanks Reid for taking care of the kiddos so we could enjoy ourselves.  Lindsey was even able to make it over for a visit later in the night!

Things started getting silly...

Saturday morning donuts on the patio followed by a bike ride to a park!

Grandma and George came to pick up the Bigs to join the rest of their cousins (minus Emma) to attend the Okee Dokee Brothers' Concert in St. Paul. They had a great time! Thanks Grandma and George for the memories!

Thanks Nash Fam for hosting the "after party!" Joey and Emily were even able to join us for a bit!

Sunday morning we headed to Mass and discovered that after Mass donuts are done until September. We decided on a rotation at friends' houses so we can keep up with it! Thank you Sanquist for having us over!

The dads in their matching uniform and their 3 daughters!

 The babies :)

After naps our neighbors invited us over to hang out and have the kids splash in their kiddie pool.  It was surprisingly very relaxing! Although, I didn't get any pictures.

Sunday night I met up with my High School Girlfriends! (thank you, again, to Reid for takin' care of business on the home front!)

Picking up right where we left off

 Getting silly again :)
Daddy holding down the fort.  Emma loves to color! After each scribbles, she proudly shows you her paper!
 Our girls! C-Mile Sisters!

More fun to be had this week with end of the year events for Sally!

Make it a great week!
