Can you spot the differences?

We've put many miles on the stroller in the past couple of weeks. See if you can spot the differences in the places we have visited!

We're Baaaack!

How was it? Wonderful!

How was Sally? A-MA-ZING! Seriously, I don't think she could have done anything to be a better little girl, and, she even popped her first tooth!

The flight out there was my mom, Lucy, Sally, and I, (I know, what were we thinking)? As we were boarding the plane we got the looks of, "Oh boy, two babies, I hope they don't sit near us, they'll be crying the entire time..." Well, we proved EVERYONE wrong, even with a THREE hour delay. Yep, three hours.

We boarded the plane and sat with two infants for two hours still at the terminal. Something to do with a light in the cockpit that wasn't working. When it was all said and done, we (the entire plane) had to get off, go to a new gate and get on a new plane. By the time we took off, we should have been landing in Florida. But, as I said before, the girls were perfect. In all honesty, they were better than some of the adult passengers.

They charmed everyone. As we waited to get the stroller at the gate after the flight, people kept commenting on how wonderful the girls were, how cute they were, and were they twins? One guy turned to my mom and said, "Wow Grandma, you deserve a medal or something!" My mom responded with, "No, how about just a drink."

Our return flight was just my mom, Sally and I. It was great, we even got in 30 minutes early! Daddy couldn't have been more excited!

Below are a few pictures from the flights. You'll get more Florida pictures throughout the week!

Getting our toes ready for the beach

Sally had her very first pedicure, well, from her Mama! We tried on her new shoes to see how it looks!

Happy Saint Patrick's Day!

Sorry for the later than usual post...we were trying to take advantage of the gorgeous day! We had a picnic outside for lunch and then went for two walks! We're working on a little base before we head to Florida (not getting too much with the UV index of 1)!

Sally's crawling is improving each day. This morning she was able to follow me from the kitchen to the living room to play with her toys. So fun to see her poke her little head around the corner.

Last week at ECFE (Early Childhood Family Education), Sally's teacher, Miss Peggy, got Sally to crawl through the tunnel! Crazy to think we started classes before Sally could even roll over, and now she's able to play with all of the fun toys around the room!

Only 6 more days until Florida

Here's Sally's reaction when she realizes how soon we get to be in the sun!
"Hey Sally Girl, Guess What?!"
"Yes, Mommy, what is it?"
"We leave for Florida a week from Today!"

"WHAT?! I gotta get packing!"

Dancing to Sally Ann

Sally busted out all of her dance moves yesterday, while dancing to one of her favorite songs, Sally Ann. One of my former student's Uncle sings this song, kind of a neat connection. Sorry for the movement of the camera, it was really hard not to laugh out loud while recording...enjoy! (as I'm attaching the video and it's playing, Sally is doing the exact same dance!)

Double Digits!

Yesterday, Sally turned 10 months. Yes, mommy is a little sad how quickly her little girl is growing up, but she is also getting to such a fun stage! She finds a way to crack Reid and I up every single day! There are numerous days that I call Reid at work to tell him the funny thing that Sally did! Everyday there is something new! Still no true first words, but she has had some more coincidences like the cracker incident.

For example, on Sunday we were going for a family walk and Reid looked at Sally and said, "Do you love your mommy and your daddy." Clear as day and without a moments hesitation Sally said, "Yeah!"

Sally is getting much more mobile and loves to explore. We decided that it was time to lower her crib :( Another sign of how big she is getting. Every time we go in to either check on her, or she is up for the day she is in a different position. Below are a few pictures of her after waking up! And yes, we're well aware that we're breaking all of the rules by having bumpers, snuggly blankets and stuffed animals in her crib...

Kisses from Cousin Cannon

We had a fun weekend hanging with Reid's brother's family, Marc, Regan and Cannon. Sally had a great time watching her cousin run around and play, and she even got a chance to army crawl after him. Yep, that's right, she's started to crawl. That will be tomorrow's video!

Thank you to Marc, Regan and Cannon for a great weekend with lots of love and laughter!

Results

The Doctor called us Friday afternoon. There has been no change in Sally's reflux. The doctor asked how Sally does with her antibiotics she has to take every night. In all honesty, she looks forward to it! It's almost like her after dinner dessert! The doctor said to continue giving her the dose of antibiotic and we'll test again in about a year. If there is still no change we will probably end up doing surgery.

The doctor says to keep in mind that Sally has had this reflux since the first trimester of pregnancy so that if there is only a small change in her results that it would be a few years before it would be completely gone (IF there were to be a change in a year). So, that would mean she'd be on antibiotics for years, and that wouldn't be the best thing for her because she could possibly develop a rejection to this antibiotic which could cause problems in the future if she were to ever need it for an infection of some sort.

We're hoping, that whatever the route we need to take, we can have it completed before Sally starts potty training and have it over with before she'll be able to remember and know what's happening.

We know things could be much much worse so we're counting our many blessings! Thank you for all the extra prayers!

A little bit of Laughter

Well, we're done with the appointment, it went well, all things considering. From start to finish it was probably only about 20 minutes. By the time we got into the car she was laughing and back to being herself :) We have to wait for the Doctor to review her scans and he will call us (hopefully later today) with the results.

Here's a video of her latest "laughter." She adds a fun little scream at the end! Enjoy your weekends!

Kidney Reflux

As some of you may remember, this past summer, we had a lovely 4th of July with a trip to Children's Hospital (see picture above). Sally had a UTI (urinary tract infection) and then was later diagnosed with Kidney Reflux. Since then, we have been giving Sally a low dose of an antibiotic each night to avoid getting another UTI. Tomorrow, Sally is scheduled to have an RNC to check and see how her reflux is doing. There is a chance that she could outgrow this, and then we would be done with the antibiotic and the thought of surgery. She will be getting these RNC's once a year to check the progress until she either outgrows it, or she gets another UTI and then has to have surgery. We're hoping and praying for some positive results tomorrow!

17 more sleeps!

17 more days until Sally, Grandma (my mom), and I go to Fort Lauderdale! Jim and Nance, we can't wait to play with you! Sally can't wait to go out for the day and not have to put on her hat and mittens. She can hardly wait to put her little tosies in the pool, sand and ocean! It's a good thing we have a webcam so daddy can be part of it too :)

Below is a picture of Sally checking to make sure her hat and sunglasses are ready to go!

We're Walkin' on Sunshine!

Sally and I have been doing our best to get outside these past few days to enjoy the wonderful sunshine, and get a good dose of Vitamin D! Spring is almost here...right?!

The Sprinkler

Sally loves music! Anytime she hears some sort of beat she starts to shrug her shoulders. We thought it was time she learn some new dance moves...

Rolley Polley

I think Sally may be the only girl that thinks it is funny when you tickle her belly rolls :)
