Emma's Baptism

We opted for a Saturday 5 O'Clock Mass Baptism, in order to have the whole day to get us all ready and out the door as well as a nice little dinner out.

It was a wonderful celebration with Grandparents, Godparents and Great Grandma!

It was also great to have the whole weekend with Emma's Godparents, Thomas & Erin! We so appreciate you guys coming up from Kansas!!

Calm as can be to get her original sin wiped away :)

She did great, she was wide eyed the whole time, not a cry or a tear :)

Nana sent pictures from Daddy's Baptism

Very special to have Great Grandma Gen there!
 Quick Smooch

We continued the celebration at Granite City.  The food and company was great, but the service was a little slow.  We were so impressed with the Big Sisters' behavior  :)

We also appreciated all of Thomas' help with little projects around the house!

It was a wonderful weekend!

One Month

Emma was one month on the 16th...the pictures were taken on the actual day, just took me a while to get around to posting them :)

She is just as sweet as can be!  Her Big Sisters weren't the best of newborns, pretty much, if they were awake they were fussing or crying.  Miss Emma is usually as calm as a cucumber :)  When she does cry is goes from 0-100 pretty quickly, but it usually doesn't last long.

She continues to smile, especially when she hears her big sister's voices or her Daddy's.

She sleeps quite a bit throughout the day still.  Starting to develop a bedtime around 6:30/7:30pm.  Usually sleeps for a 4-5 hour chunk, and then 3-4 hours after that.  She's up around 8am and then naps periodically throughout the day.  Usually never up for more than an hour.

She was hungry when we were taking these pictures, but just as quickly as it comes...
It goes :) She's a pretty efficient eater, but usually only likes to eat on one side, so can be a cluster eater close to bedtime since she didn't chow the entire day :)

She doesn't like having shirts pulled over her head or when it's time to get out of the bath. She loves her hands by her face.  Doesn't care much for a pacifier. LOVES her Daddy and her Big Sister, and obviously her Mommy.  She's a great napper on the go and will continue sleeping in her car seat even after we've returned home.

The Big Sisters wanted in on the picture taking as well

And then Sally wanted some individual shots too.  She's pretty proud whenever she gets a chance to hold Emma, especially if she's allowed while standing.

Libby's got a lot of hidden love for Emma!

Happy One Month Sweet Baby Girl, you've been a beautiful addition to our family and can't believe we once knew life without you in it.  We're so very glad you are here, we love you to pieces!

Richly Blessed!

Ta-Da!

Peaceful afternoon thanks to the Selby Family and their thoughtful gifts!
I was officially inducted into the "I have 3 kids."  Long story short, last week Reid was at class. It was bedtime for the big girls. Libby got in trouble and she cried so hard she made herself throw up all over her bed.  Emma was also due to eat, so was screaming while I cleaned up the mess and got Libby in to the shower.  All the while sweet Sally dare not move, less it stress her Mama out more, so she carefully sang prayers to Emma to help calm her down.  Daddy treated Mommy to a caribou the next morning.  Ooofta--we survived!

Morning Prayers

Starting to see a little farther

Slowly but surely we'll finish up decorating Emma's room, scrapbook paper, wooden letter and Mod Podge.
Emma likes the swing and Libby likes to practice her gymnastics

Having a little dance party while I rock and feed Emma...it's also peak for Daddy at work, so he gets home a little later than usual

Dancing break to give little sister kisses
Last week Libby and I tried out a new Tot Time, it was nice and relaxing and fun to spend some time with Libby--Emma slept the whole time

The Gorilla blocks were her favorite, why do they have to be so expensive?!

Snug as a bug!

Happy Thanksgiving Week!! Soooooooooo much to be Thankful for!!
