Santa!

December 112 We finally made it to see Santa, it only took until Christmas Eve.  We had tried FOUR other times at Ridgedale Mall, but every time we got in line it was an HOUR wait (not including how long it would take because of the people in front of us) because Santa was on a break.  Sally was finally able to see Santa at the one and only Viking Plaza Mall in Alexandria!

Checking out the Tree

I just noticed, the only ornament you can really see is the one with Mary and Child. How perfect!

Newborn-6 month

Tiffany was asking the other day, "How to you have such good self control and not buy all of these cute girl clothes?" My response was, "She wears them for a week and then they're too small..."
Here's proof!

Snow Day!

Sally's daycare is closed today because of the snow, however my school is still open. As you can see, Sally is excited to spend the day with her Mama! Thanks Grandma and George for the cute outfit!

Oh Christmas Tree Oh Christmas Tree

Was so fun to see Sally's face the first time she saw the tree all lit up!

Clark W. Griswold hung the lights without stapling his arm to the roof! Now, all we need is Snow!

Tips to Survive the Hospital

Dear Bestest Friend Lucy,

I wanted to let you know that my mommy, daddy and I have been saying a lot of prayers for you and your family so that your surgery goes well. I bet you can't wait for it to be over! I just wanted to pass along some helpful tips that can make your stay at the hospital a little bit better. I sure can't wait for this to be over for you! Can we have a sleepover sometime soon after?!

1. Try not to kink your IV otherwise they have to poke you again and again until they get it back in
2. Tell your Mom that she gets free juice since she is nursing
3. The nurses mean well, you can tell them to leave you alone in the middle of the night and you’ll “ding” them if you need them
4. Get some rest at night time even though it isn’t your own bed, the more you sleep the better you get, the quicker you can go home
5. They put this light on your toe, if you kick too much an alarm goes off…see #3
6. Be good to your mom and dad, they love you a lot to be sleeping on those lumpy
chairs!
7. Make sure your mom and dad get some breaks too, the nurses are the best babysitters money can buy….well besides your Aunt Jackie and Uncle Reid of course!!
8. Your brother will want to play with you, but remind him that he has to be gentle
9. I always felt better when I prayed out-loud.
10. Remember how loved you are, lots of people are praying for you!

Call me anytime…I’m here to listen, or to talk! I love you a whole lot Bestest Friend!
XOXO,

Sally

I'm half a year old!!

Thanks for coming to play Nana and Grandpa! (I've found that sucking on my bottom lip helps to relieve some of my teething pain)

All bundled up!

We've been trying to do our best to take advantage of the semi-warm days! Sally is in awe of looking at all the leaves falling around her!

American Girl

I'm not a big country fan, but Reid insists that we expose her to all the different types of music. I think she likes this one...
