Fun in the Sun

We went to the park the other morning and had the whole place to ourselves!  The nice thing about our location is there are parks everywhere within walking distance.  Makes it fun for Sally as she never knows quite where she'll end up!

Can you spot Sally?

Weeeeee

Big girl swing-she giggled the whole time!

Having fun in the pool with her cousins.  Sorry William, I didn't realize your eyes were closed

Leftovers

Hopefully Sally doesn't consider her parents leftovers, there were just a few pictures left from the weekend that didn't really have a theme :)

Cheers! At Pizza Luce with Reid's parents and Sally

Waiting to head out to Church. Nana knows that the Mamas are often the ones behind the camera so she was sure to capture a picture of Sally and her mom :)

We ended the weekend with a walk around Cedar Lake.  The only mistake was that we forgot Sally's swimsuit, okay, we didn't really forget.  Remember, we're from Alex, the lakes down here just aren't the same, we don't know what to trust...

Two Piggies

With the hot sticky weather, Sally's preferred hair style is two braided piggies.  I'm not as good as Grandma with the french braiding, so I stick with the easy way.  Sally sits pretty well during it, but to make sure she continues to look in the same direction she gets to watch a little Elmo.

"See Sally" She always has to check herself out in the mirror once we finish

**Yesterday we were at Target picking up some groceries and as we passed a lady in the aisle Sally looks at her, smiles and says "Oh HIII Princess!"...because she was wearing a dress.  The lady asked if she could take Sally home in hopes of the continued compliments :)

Weekend with the Grandparents

We had a nice and relaxing weekend with Nana & Grandpa.  It was great to have nothing on our schedule and do whatever we fancied :)

Sally knew at the beginning of the week that Friday meant Nana & Gpa come!

Love the giggles in this video! **Don't mind the little ladie's crazy hair, we just took out her braided piggies.

Thanks for coming to play with me Nana and Grandpa.  I had a great time and can't wait to do it again really soon!

Boy or Girl??

We had our ultrasound today!  Gosh, it never gets old being able to see the miracle of babies.  There's a real person inside me! I just love being pregnant!

It's just as exciting the second time around.  As you know, my sister is expecting her third, and she posted the other day about being more aware this time around that each baby is so unique and different from his or her siblings.  I've been trying to keep that in mind when daydreaming about this little one joining our family.  It already held true with the ultrasound, this baby was in a completely different position than Sally was.  Sorry, no twins :)  Here are a few of our snapshots.

Well Hello there little peanut!

Love the caption our Ultrasound Tech put, he was great!

Big eyes like sister Sally?

Here's a video of Sally seeing the pictures of her brother or sister...

**A big thank you to our wonderful neighbor, Delores, for watching Sally during our appointments! We're so lucky to have you!!

She's got 21 weeks

to perfect her Baby Bjorn form...

She already includes her brother or sister in her everyday things.  Yesterday we were driving in the car and we saw a train.  About ten minutes later she said "Sally see train, Mommy see train, Baby see train too!"

We're off to play outside while we get a quick break from our tropical rainforest humidity!

Little-Big Girl

Little girl, because she still fits in her 12-18 month dress (it seemed long last summer, so I saved it to try again this summer).

Big girl because she can talk and understand so much now.

Little girl, because she still loves to snuggle with her mama, or maybe that's just a girl.

Big girl because as she was snuggling with her mama baby was fluttering in mama's stomach reminding me how Sally's going to be a big sister.

Can you tell we both just woke up from naps? I remember loving her yawns as a baby, now a big girl yawn.  How do you tell the difference between a baby yawn and a big girl yawn?  Well, the big girl will tell you she just yawned...

awwww Mommy snuck a picture

cheeeeese

"I love Mommy, give her kisses"

"Sally beautiful hair"  She even does a pose

**Sorry for the late post, we had a fun play date this morning with our friends the Starkey's

Cooling Off

This would feel great right about now...

Not sure who thought it was more funny, Daddy or Sally?

Firsty

We had a great weekend!  Last night Reid commented that today {Sunday}, was one of the better family days he can remember.  What did we do? A whole lot of nothing and it was wonderful.  Sally was a gem at church in the morning.  Sat quietly the entire time, with no snacks!

Throughout the day, she was full of the sillies and really knew how to get Reid and I crying from laughing so hard. She is so fun!  She upgraded to sit at the table with us.  No more tray, just the booster.  She thought she was pretty cool.

After talking to Nana and Grandpa and hearing they were at DQ, preggo Mama decided she needed some too.  On our way in Miss Sally was thirsty from her ice cream, so she got to try something she has never before...

Big Sister Hears Heartbeat

Big Sister got to come to Baby C-Mile #2's doctor appointment this morning.  Sally was very concerned for her Mommy when I had to get my blood pressure checked.  When the nurse took the thing off Sally shouted "Good Job Mommy!"

If only Daddy would have been able to take a picture of Sally's face when she realized she was hearing her brother or sister's heartbeat!  I can't wait until she (us too) meets him or her for the first time.  All is well with baby #2, he/she had a heart rate of about 153. Boy or girl??

Here are a few pictures of Sally enjoying one of her birthday presents from Nana and Grandpa.

Happy Weekend-stay cool!

Curlers and Do-Rags??

I sent this picture to Reid at work, with the subject, "Because I can."  Remember, he likes to tell me she's not my doll who I get to dress up every day.  He doesn't quite understand the mom-daughter thing.  That's ok, we still love him. However, he often is the one to pick out the cute girlie clothes, so he's sucked in to the girl thing just as much as me, he just doesn't know it :)

So, we played dress up with curlers the other day, because we could.

Then he went and did this...because he could...the father-daughter thing :)

Long story short? Sally is way loved and way exposed to all walks of life, especially with the crazy parents she's been blessed with :)

May I Please

We're always working to improve the manners of our little.  She has a "scripted" sentence for now and our favorite part is she also says Mommy and Daddy's line of responding if she can get what she's politely asked for.  However, in her mind, she gets it every time.  Take a listen :)

Friends

Sally thinks it is so funny when all three {Mommy, Daddy and Sally}of us hold hands.  She grins, giggles and proclaims, FRIENDS!

She loves her Daddy like no other...

Heading out for an evening walk and a quick visit to Lucy's house

Mommy's not so bad either...

She insisted that Mommy have two piggies just like Sally {don't mind the cheesy grin on my face, I was probably saying cheeeeeeese to make sure Sally was smiling}

Water

Sally's favorite past time, playing in or with water.  How can you not, these past few days with this heat.  I'm not complaining, I haven't yet forgotten the MN winter of 2011 :)

We had a fun weekend playing with water and also playing with Kyle and Laura. We had to see pictures and hear all about their honeymoon, plus, Sally really missed them!

Cooling off at the neighborhood splash pad...with the rest of the neighborhood

Monkey See, Monkey Do

Thinking she's so silly

Running through the sprinkler with Daddy

Listening to some live music at the Art Festival in Hopkins, that we stumbled upon after visiting the Farmers Market. We (Craigmile Crew and Kyle and Laura) went to get some fresh eats for a grill out later that evening
Baby C-Mile #2 is doing well and continuing to grow.  We can't believe how quickly the days are going by this time around.  We're looking forward to meeting him or her! Sally is getting very excited too, she even remembers to give her soon-to-be-sibling "peace" at Church.
