Weird Christmas

It was a weird Christmas this year.  The actual day of was grey and gloomy like the 2 weeks prior.  We had no snow, it was gross brown outside.  In fact I kept looking at our neighbor's moldy pumpkins across the street.

We were all still getting out of the funk of being since for a full week and Emma had her worst night to date.  Put it all together and you end up with a weird Christmas...

aaaaand, I didn't even get one family picture or one of all 3 girls together...oof, it's tough having a newborn around the holidays, at least one that decides to switch her temperament the day before!

With this crazy flu epidemic, as soon as we got home from Mass we striped down and showered to keep any and all germs away.

Setting out the reindeer food
Then we got ready for church, flew out the door and came home without any pictures...

Christmas morning, she got her bow and arrow!
 Her Elsa doll!

 Rockin' out on her guitar
The plus side of no snow was Sally got to go out 5 times to shoot her bow and arrow

Sally drew a family portrait, she said she made Emma older so she could look like us
But drew her in a different picture swaddled up :)

Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night...unless you have a newborn then it will be a sleepless night ;)

More pics to come from our fun weekend at Nana and Grandpa's to celebrate Christmas, where Emma was a little better, but not really...

Emma overload

This morning we woke up with no fevers in the craigmile crew house! Phew!  Slowly but surely we'll get there...

Warning, there are a lot of pictures of Emma as I was hiding away with her, keeping her from her sick big sisters...

Before the sickness hit.  She's looking older and older every day, but I still catch glimpses of babyhood, like those chubber cheeks :)

Thank you Crosby for my awesome slippers that actually stay on, you rock! I hope you're enjoying your time in MN!

Sally decided to teach herself how to write her name in cursive...exactly how she sees me do it...
 Smiles for Daddy
She woke up to some wonderful news about her Uncle Joey and soon to be Auntie Emily!
Trains with Daddy...you can see the sickness seeping in to their eyes...
Mama got to sneak away for some Mani/Pedi time with the ladies!

Mom, how long do I have to stay away from the rest of the family?

Ray of sunshine on these gloomy grey days!
 Christmas Toes!
Uncle Joey got down on one knee and Emily said, YES!!
So happy for these two! I'll be gaining a wonderful sister-in-law in no time! Welcome to the Moran Family, Emily, we're so glad you said yes! Joey hit the jackpot ;) Can't wait for wedding planning fun! xxo

I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas!! Stay healthy, it's a war zone out there, eeeeeeek!

Emma's Newborn Pictures

Here are a few {handful} of my favorite pictures that my friend Kallie offered to take of Emma.  She wanted some practice in taking some newborn photos.  I'm so glad she did, she's so talented! Thank you Kallie!!

I think Emma was something around 3 weeks new :)

Meanwhile, we're all on house arrest as we battle this darn flu.  Libby's on day 5.5. and Sally's on day 2.5.  Luckily mine was pretty short lived to only a day and a half.  Hopefully baby girl continues to stay healthy, we're keeping her quarantined ;) and nursing her as often as she'll take it!  Hopefully we're all healthy by Christmas :(

Recitals

Sally had her all school Christmas Program last weekend.  She did us proud.  She was so sweet singing from the heart and knowing all of the actions to go with it.  We are so happy with our choice to send her to a Catholic School.  What an awesome community we are a part of.  I teared up a few times.  So thankful to be able to celebrate the true meaning of Christmas, Jesus' birth!

Libby sat through the whole thing with no complaints.  She was so proud of her big sister.  One time they caught each other's eyes and waved at each other, it was so sweet!...Emma slept the whole time ;)

Love the little hand on the lap

The program is in Benilde's gym.  Sally is on the right side, second row up in the middle.  I have a bunch of video from this, but not sure if I'm allowed to post because it is a school function, I'm probably not supposed to post pictures either...Let me know if you want to see video and I'll send you the private links :)

So proud!

Libby had her little dance class recital.  She was the best one in her class...she listens so well! She's ready for school, Mama's just not ready to let her sweet girl go :(

Even Daddy was able to make it!
While all the other kids were running around like crazy, this little sweetheart just sat and listened to every direction, like a good little girl!

Big Kicks

I'll post her video, so entertaining that she's the only one following all of the instructions :)

Hi Mom, Hi Dad

So proud!

Phew, is it January yet? :)
