Kickoff to Summer

We've had a fantastic week.  Thank you MN weather for delivering!! You won't hear this Mama complaining about the heat, even though I'm leggo my preggo.

It was just me and the Babe the other beautiful morning!  We're 20 WEEKS!! WHAT? When did that happen? Reid is very excited that he has started to feel the baby kick!

Yesterday we took our morning to Lake Calhoun, to play and have a picnic lunch!  We even ran in to some of Libby's ECFE Friends!!

The girls got to dip their feet in the water too!
Sister Secrets

Sally's favorite thing right now is butterflies.  They were exploring the beautiful Lilac Tree and a Monarch Butterfly flew right by her.  She was sooooo excited! It was pretty close to the excitement she demonstrated after meeting Ariel in Disney World.

"Oh My Goodness Mom, it was a real butterfly in real life, can you even believe it?!"

Then she was spinning and smiling and raising her hands.

"Thank you thank you thank you Lord for the Monarch Butterfly!"

Sally has started a rock collection :)

They're pretty excited about all of their colorful tulips!  They wanted to show Nana and Grandpa!  We were headed out for a walk to FroYo, Sally was using some of her money she earned from the neighbor for helping him pick dandelions.  She doesn't know they're a weed, shhhhhhhhhh

L still isn't a fan of cold things, so she gets a little dish of just a few treats. She discovered Reese's Pieces!

Don't mind the 16 year old with earrings

This morning Sally rocked her swimming lessons! She has one more lesson before the pool opens next FRIDAY!!  We came home, ate lunch outside and hit the hay.  After naps we headed up to the Splash Pad.  It was a hit!

There were more pregnant moms than not.  And most are due like any was nice to feel in the majority :)

The girls were so cute, always making sure the other was with them and playing together.  One time I caught them in the corner dancing.  Libby's favorite line lately is, "May I have this Dance?"

What to tackle first?

Two Thumbs up for our awesome weather!!

Tomorrow is already Friday!! Crazy how fast the week flies by when you can spend most of it outdoors!!

Sally's Last Day of Preschool

Last Friday was Sally's last day of preschool.  As stated before, she wasn't one bit sad.  She is so excited for Kindergarten and movin' on up to the next chapter of her life.

I kept my tears to myself so she didn't know it was something to be sad about :)

You can click HERE to check out her first day of school pictures, I can notice the changes, but she does look pretty similar
Always always looking up and admiring her big sister.  There's a lot to admire, that's for sure

Mommy, when I turn 3 1/2 then I can go to pre-school too!

I loved this article on the Huffington post the other day. I think it pertains to 5 year olds too :)

Here are a few songs they sang for the parents, the last song gets me every time.

Today was Sally's first official day of summer vacation, and we had a good one! Pictures to come tomorrow.

Memorial Day 2014

We enjoyed our Memorial Day yesterday. The weather felt more like the 4th of July, and we were loving it!

We had coffee and bananas outside, which quickly moved to biking and scootering--being careful not to be too loud, so the neighbors without kids could enjoy a morning to sleep in :)

We ate breakfast outside and then headed to the Yellow park--most of our parks get named by the color of the slide.

L upgraded to a big girl swing since there wasn't a bucket swing

We headed back to quickly mow the lawn and set out the pool for the first time.  Our little fish didn't mind the ice cold water!

We had lunch outside and both girls crashed at nap time.  Which allowed mommy and daddy to catch up on Laundry and make a quick trip to the grocery store.

We played outside a bit longer and then headed down the street to have a BBQ with the Norton Family.  We had a great time and ate fantastic food! Thanks for the invite guys!!

Enjoying a little dance party...such good big sisters too!

Luka showing off some tricks...even L {hater of dogs :)}was impressed

Dinner time! YUM!

Happy Memorial Day!

Weekend at Grandma & George's

We had a great weekend at Grandma and George's.  The WHOLE crew was able to go and we all survived!!

Thank goodness for the beautiful weather! I guess we're skipping Spring thing year, I'm not complaining!!

Quite proud that she helped make Oyster Crackers to bring to share with everyone! She got a sample in the car on the way up
We had heard traffic wasn't the greatest, so we opted for a little round about way, that adds on about 30 minutes, but at least we're moving the whole time.

Almost there and still smiling!

Goslings wanted to say Good Morning

A trip to see Grandma wouldn't be complete without a french braid, and a chocolate doughnut face

First "suit up" of the season

Cousins, and Bobby the photobomber :)

Cousins, missing William {he was golfing}

Silly Faces

Child labor...

Time for coloring

Taking a break from the sun to play Guess Who.  Emily is always so good with the kiddos--thank you!

A dad and his daughter

After Mass, we made a quick visit to Nana and Grandpa's.  It's didn't take long for the girls to "transform"

After lunch we went up to the field to fly a kite!

A mom and her daughters

Time for some boat rides!

Ahhhh, summer

Thank you Grandma and George for the delicious food and great time! Many wonderful memories!!

We came back a day early to enjoy a day at home.  Daddy landed at 1 on Friday and we were out the door at 3, so we needed a day to just be.  I'm glad we did, pictures of our Memorial Day to come tomorrow :)
