Vacation Bible School

We've entered a new stage, taxi mom.

Sally has been enjoying VBS this week, it's only 2 1/2 hours and those hours fly by.

Can you spot Sweet, Shy, Innocent Sally?  Her first morning, she was excited that Grace was one of her leaders!
Before I know it, it's time to get back in the car and pick her up.  We've been doing a lot of in and out of the car this week.  A challenging task with a super duper stubborn and independent 2 1/2 year old!

Waiting to pick up Sally, enjoying the music

We helped Delores out on Tuesday so she could go to a funeral.  Sally was excited to add Grady to the car because that meant she got to test out the third row.  She loved it and wants to stay there forever...only a few more months until that's reality!

Daddy started his summer class on Tuesday, so I had a date night with my girls at the pool!

Only 34!! more class sessions to go {From now until the beginning of December} until he's D-O-N-E, but who's counting? ;)

Part of our crazy schedule this week is that Sally also started her afternoon park program.  We pick up from VBS, the girls eat some lunch in the car.  We stop home to finish lunch, go to the bathroom, reapply sunscreen, grab water and a snack and head out to her park program.  More in and out of the car.

It was two big new things this week for Sally.  Something out of her comfort zone.  I'm not going to lie, Monday's drop off was even hard on Mommy.  It didn't help that the building she was in was all glass, so she stood and waved at us the entire walk back to our car and as we pulled out of the parking lot, with a nervous face.  She was at a new place with new faces and knew no one.  I was very impressed with her willingness and how brave she was. The entire two and a half hours I thought of her nonstop, wished for L to wake up from her nap so we could go get Sally.  Of course Libby slept longer than normal, and we picked Sally up right on time.  I found her like this

She had a great time and was excited to go back again the next day :)

All of this running back and forth as well as the rain this morning has made me appreciate and look forward to the fact that Sally will be taking the bus to school, which will pick her up and drop her off right outside of our house.  I can't imagine loading everyone up {a newborn!!} in the dead of winter twice a day every day.

Libby and I have had some fun with our little bit of time in the mornings too.  Yesterday we were able to meet up with Liz and Milo for a walk around Lake of the Isles!

On this rainy morning, I'm enjoying a concert put on by Libby :)

I know everyone is singing this song, but I don't think I've remembered to record it :)

An update on Sister Room--continued SUCCESS!! We've had no issues whatsoever!  Hooray!  The girls love that they get to come down in the morning together, if both are up, and I love my sweet morning greetings!

Holding their nightgowns like princesses hold their gowns...of course!
Happy Thursday {already!!}! Happy Almost Friday and Happy Almost First Day of SUMMER!
