A little bit of this & a little bit of that

Happy National Donut Day!  We celebrated with some "fake" donuts while we waited for Libby prescription to be filled.  She has pink eye.

I'm not sure where she picked it up, could be anywhere really.  Could also be the dry air up in her NEW ROOM!  It's hot up in our half story so there are lots of fans on in the night.

She's a trooper, that's for sure.  She hasn't complained once, if it wasn't for the pink in her eye, we never would have know.

So, the girls share a room now.  We're two nights in.  So far so good!  Sally has been going down first, usually falls asleep in 5-10 minutes and then Libby heads up to bed and she's usually out in 20 minutes or so.  So far, there's been no talking or getting out of beds.  It's early yet, but they also have drill sergeants for parents :)  I'm hoping to put together a post on sleep sometime soon.

It is such an emotional milestone!  Daddy had a tough time with her last night in her crib.  He cherishes his bedtime songs and prayers with his girls.  He still has them, just a new way now.

Last time in her crib

As you can tell, she was really sad about it :)
Sally started a new bedtime routine, everyone crowds around my baby belly and sings You Are My Sunshine.  About a minute after they finish you should feel the movement from Squirt.  Jumping all around! Baby is loved quite a bit already!

Mommy had a hard time checking on Libby in the big bed for the first time and the constant reminder of the empty crib during nap and bed.  Soon it'll all seem routine and in not too long the crib will once again be filled :)

First morning of Sister Room!!

We had so much fun the other night, playing HedBanz.  Thank you Christensen Family for the awesome gift!

Mommy and Daddy have had some fun times bonding in the evening after the girls go to bed.  Enjoying Daddy's little break from school before his Summer Class starts up.

Both Sally and Libby finished up their Spring Session of Swimming lessons.  Just in time for today's POOL OPENING!!!

Reunited and it feels soooooooooooo good!  We've earned it after our record of a terrible winter!  We've only been counting down since September!!

 Wahoooooooo!!

Perks of having one of our sitters be a lifeguard! Welcome home Rachel!

Sally is a little fish! She could swim and swim and swim all day!  We have been talking about and so excited for the water slides all winter!  Sally especially, as this year she's tall enough to go down by herself.  I knew it was going to take a gentle push to get her to try the first time, but that she would really like it.  Both girls needed a little push, actually.  It'll come.  Just thankful Libby can make the climb up the stairs on her own!

"I'm just hanging out, Mom"

So proud of this girl and her bravery!!  It took a little coaxing to do the slide on the tube, but she did it without tears and know she'll do it again and again.  I really didn't think I would get her to go down the body slide today.  It looks very intimating from the top.  It's enclosed for the first half and water is spraying all over, so you have no idea that it lets up and opens up half way down.  She had to climb up and get herself to go on her own so that I could be at the bottom in case she needed me.  I thought she'd for sure turn around and come down.  Nope, when it was her turn she stepped right up and didn't hesitate.  Didn't even need me at the bottom.  She didn't love it, but she didn't hate it either. She'll be on it again, I'm sure!

Happy Friday!  Happy 1st Birthday to Maggie, tomorrow!! Happy Weekend! Happy Everything!
