CraigmileCrewsin

1,200 miles, 16 hours, 2 impressive road trippin' little girls, a husband and wife that got in a lot of meaningful conversation and a little babe that continued to grow and grow. Not to mention our amazing hosts and fantabulous friends and families and the countless memories we took home.

Our summer road trip vacation was a humongous success!

The eve of our departure the girls put together this puzzle so they could see where we would be traveling
"Hey Mom, can I bring my Dorothy hair? Because, you know, she lived in Kansas!"

Ready to begin our journey

32 miles per gallon!!!

The best idea I had was to pack a camera for each girl to take their own pictures.  One day, when life slows down, I'll go through their 1,000 pictures and post some here :)

Their favorite view!

One big difference is we had no time crunch.  We were able to travel at our own pace and enjoy the journey. Lunch stop at Chick-fil-A, Mommy's first time, oh my, it didn't disappoint, delicious!!

We might be making the trek to our very own MN Chick-fil-a that recently opened in Bloomington

Another good idea thanks to pinterest, was Logo Bingo.  They had to look for common restaurant signs and cross off the picture on their sheet.  I also picked out these awesome little cardboard box things at the Target $1 spot which worked better than clip boards because they could store their pencil and crayons in there without them rolling all around.

As you know, our girls are great car riders, but they don't ever, I mean EVER fall asleep and take a nap in the car.  I can count on one hand how many times the girls have slept in the car.  They decided to double their record and sleep each and every single leg of the trip!! Well, Libby did all 3, Sally did 2 out of the 3 :)
At least she still rested and was quiet so her sister could sleep

Crushin' Zzz's
 We made it!

They wasted no time in getting their hair braided, dressing up and finding some dolls to play with!  Hannah thank you so much for being so amazing with the girls!! Such a great role model!  Madeline was at dance camp Thursday night, she was also great with the girls throughout the weekend!

Daddy got to tag along to the Boys' baseball practice.  He even got thrown a glove and asked to take center field :)

More to come about our fun times!
