After an hour delay, he finally made it home last night. I let him pick Sally up and snuggle with her for a bit when he got home. He also came home to a little surprise from his girls:
He's been asking me to make these Golden Graham S'more bars for a while. They are actually really good, and very easy to make. Of course we had to try some to make sure they tasted alright ;)
Daddy gets to work from home today, so he got to be the first to greet Sally when she woke up. She was chatty kathy for a good 10 minutes, just babbling on and on and on. Oh, how she missed her Daddy!
We're in the process of making an area in the basement Sally's "play area." We were gifted an antique chest that was Reid's Great Grandpa's and it came over here from Sweden, it is now Sally's toy chest!
**See why I always have bows in her hair? ;)
Sally's off to sleepover at her Nana and Grandpa's house tomorrow night, as Mommy and Daddy are off to celebrate another wedding of some good friends. We're excited to go back to our "old stomping grounds" as the wedding is at CSB where we went to college! Many memories!
Enjoy your weekend!
I don't personally know you, but came across your blog through a friends. As a mom of 3 grown boys this chest makes me nervous! Since it is old, the latches might not be overly safe. I have heard of the tops falling and hitting little heads or fingers/hands becoming pinched.
