Emma's 3rd Birthday

We had a great day, last week, celebrating Emma turning 3.  Turning 3 is my favorite.  It's the first year they really understand it.  They think the littlest thing is the best thing ever.

Emma woke up, not even expecting that she would be getting birthday presents.  All she wanted was an orange balloon.

To her delight, she woke up to the scavenger hunt tradition of finding and opening her presents.

When we headed out to the bus, she was greeted with lots of birthday love! Posing with one of her favorites, Alisha!

She was excited to see Harper coming down.  This sweet girl made Emma a card and bought her a gift.  I later found out from her mom that she used her own money and asked to go to the store to pick out a gift for Emma.  HOW SWEET!!!

Once we put Mason down for his morning nap we made her cupcakes, she was excited to get to lick both beaters!
Each morning she loves to get a sip of my smoothie.  I surprised her with her own, in her favorite orange cup. "Thank you Mom, this is so nice of you!"
Once Mason woke up, she wanted a picture with him.  I have a feeling they'll be celebrating many birthdays together!
She always asks to get a car wash, so we headed that way.  Before pulling in, I let her come sit in the front seat.  "Can I hold your hand? This is the best day, ever!"
 Next stop, an orange balloon!

 Makin' her wishes come true!

Her very own PEACH yogurt at lunch, her fave! (I asked if she wanted to go out for lunch, but she preferred coming home and having her usual)
After naps we hung out and played with some of her new gifts.  Her purse from Alisha was one of her favorites!
She loved her card and DQ gift card from Delores!
It was a Free day at the Arboretum, it also happened to be one of the most beautiful Fall days. We had arranged for Daddy to pick up the Bigs from school and meet us at the Arboretum.  It didn't disappoint!
Libby loved to walk around holding her hand and making her feel special
 C-Mile Sisters
Water "mountains" are one of her favorite things, so we headed over to one to see it up close

I hope they always love and support each other this much
Then we did the BEAUTIFUL 3-mile drive and took in all of the sights.  We pulled over at one spot to get out and snap a few pictures
The Craigmile Crew, loving on our Emma!
She insisted on a picture holding Mason...
Then we headed back home to have her requested birthday dinner of "Mac N Cheese Noodles."  For dessert we had cupcakes with orange frosting, that she decided she didn't care for :)

And then we sang happy birthday, and she declared "this day to be the best day ever"

Love at the end how she thanks everyone!
Thank you for all of those that took the time to call, send text, send a card and wish our sweet Emma Jean a Happy Birthday.  She had a wonderful day! I also love, how she knew it lasted just one day, was overly grateful for the littlest things, and had no problem celebrating other people on the days  to come after!

Happy Hump Day!
