MN Twins

We went to the Twins game with our friends, Brad and Mary last night.  The kiddies were home with babysitters.  It was fun to get out, just the 4 (5 ;)) of us.  Not to mention the absolutely perfect weather night for an outdoor baseball game!

BBQ With Friends

The other day we celebrated Father's Day with our good friends that live a few blocks away.  You know, Sally's, BFF, Lucy! It's been so fun to see them grow accustomed to one another and finally start to interact with each other.  Sometimes they parallel play, but sometimes we catch glimpses of them sharing and playing like real friends.  Pretty soon they'll be meeting at the park all by themselves to play...hopefully not too soon :)

We had a wonderful time at the wedding this weekend.  It was absolutely beautiful! The weather was perfect, partly cloud and 74 with a slight breeze. 

Congratulations to Kyle and Laura! We're so happy for you! Enjoy your honeymoon to, Belize! See you when you return!

A big thank you to my sister and her family for taking such great care of Sally.  She had a great time with her cousins and has been talking about it since we left! Thank you thank you!

We all had a great time on the dance floor, including Baby C-Mile!  I think he/she wanted to participate in the dancing as well...I felt some flutters later in the evening!!

BUBBLES!

We went on a field trip with some friends to the Children's Museum. Holy cow, that place is cool! Why have I never been? The kids had a great time, not to mention they behaved like little angels!!

I took a bunch of pictures, but couldn't resist sharing my favorite of Sally blowing a bubble!

Daddy is back in town! Yay!

We kept up with our streak of something happening out of the ordinary.  Sally got her foot stuck in her crib railings.  She found the smallest slot by the corner and wedged her foot in.  She's done this before, but not in this spot, or this bad.  I thought I was going to have to take apart the crib to get her foot out.  I ended up picking her up and sliding her foot a different way and it slipped out.  It was like a jigsaw puzzle gone bad!!  I was afraid to set her down to have her walk, in fear she broke her foot.  All ended well, but again, nothing like this ever happens unless Reid is out of town!

Hopefully Sally will be on her best behavior as she'll be staying with Mama Nash and company this weekend.  Reid and I will be heading North to celebrate the marriage of Kyaura, Sally's version of Kyle and Laura.  We're excited for a fun filled weekend.  Sally wanted to send them a special message...

Sally has a new obsession with the umbrella.  The other morning, it wasn't raining, but it was wet outside, so Daddy went out with her to play for a bit.  These are the pictures he captured...

We had a great weekend hanging out and celebrating Reid for Father's Day.  Saturday morning we decided to try out a coffee shop that we had always wanted to stop in at.  The Depot in Hopkins, MN.  It didn't disappoint.

 We decided to give Sally something more than just her "special water" (water with a straw).  However, she preferred her water over the donut, untiiiiil she discovered her Mama's smoothie!

Lake Calhoun

Yesterday was a perfect day.  Yes, the weather was great, but just our overall day yesterday was perfect! Sally was very well behaved and such a good listener.  It was the kind of day that I use to dream of as a little girl.  Being a mom, having a husband, a house, a home cooked meal.

We walked around Lake Calhoun yesterday.  This has been one of my favorite spots since I first lived in the cities, the summer of 2004.  Reid fell in love with this spot as well, when he'd come down to visit.  I took Sally and Henry there yesterday to walk around the lake and have a quick pit stop at the park.

I think Sally loves this spot as much as her mommy and daddy do!

Then Daddy got home from work and we had a delicious summer meal outside! There were smiles all around!

**We heard the little one's heartbeat this morning.  150 bmp, which to me, means nothing.  I know they say 140 range is usually boy and 160 range is usually a girl.  However, Sally's heart rate was always 135-140, so we're always in for a surprise, which we love!**

Reid and I have a date night tonight! Hooray! We're so excited! It's been forever since it has just been the two of us.  We're hoping that the weather will cooperate so we can eat on the patio by a lake somewhere!

Happy Father's Day weekend to all of the dads out there!! Sally will be celebrating her daddy!!

A Favorite Part of the Day

One of the favorite parts of my day is when I can hear Reid and Sally playing and giggling, while I'm in the other room preparing dinner or cleaning, or just taking a break.

This quick snapshot was happening about 5 minutes after Daddy got home from work.  Both Sally and I welcome the change of playmates :)

Great-Grandma Bea

My Grandma recently moved to an assisted living "apartment."  The move was rough on her, and rightfully so, who wants to leave their house with all of their memories, for good?  However, deep down, she knew it was time.  It wasn't safe for her to live by herself.  I know my grandma, and her children, are sleeping much more soundly, knowing she's exactly where she's suppose to be.

On our way to Alex last weekend, we stopped to see her new digs.  Of course, if Sally was looking and smiling, my grandma wasn't and if my grandma was looking and smiling, Sally wasn't.  These were the best pictures I could get...

Daddy has had a busy few weeks with work and he had a bachelor party this weekend in Alex.  Sally and I decided to head up North as well, for a change of scenery.  I'm so glad we did!  Thanks for a relaxing weekend Grandma and George!
