Compliments

I brought my sidekicks with me yesterday to go vote.  We were happy to see that Gregg Lindberg won the City Council spot for ward 3.  We've had a sign in our yard for him for 5 months :) Congrats to him!

A HUGE thank you to our neighbor Delores who has helped us out 3 times this week.  I had a dentist appointment Monday morning, a market research study yesterday afternoon and then Sally's conferences late this morning.  Thank you Delores, you are much appreciated.  Everyone should have a neighbor like you!

We are so incredibly proud of our girl and the high remarks from Sally's teacher.  She had an outstanding conference! Mommy and Daddy were very very proud!

One of my favorite things that her teacher mentioned is how well Sally gives compliments to people, and not just to adults, but to her peers as well, both boys and girls.  Such a sweet sweet girl she really is.  I know I've said it before, but it just makes my heart swell that Sally's awesomeness shines through on it's own for others to witness, even when her mama isn't there to point it out! Way to go Sally, keep up the great work, you are something special!!

**Happy 2nd Birthday to Reice today!! We can't wait to see you in 20 days for DISNEY WORLD!! We hope you have a fantastic day with lots of cake!! We love you!

Autumn Days, part 2

We did a little impromptu photo shoot on our walk Sunday evening

I love the pure joy shown in the girls' expressions in the next few photos

Throwing leaves at Mommy

Making her list

However, we like to give Thanksgiving the proper respect it deserves, no Christmas songs or decorating until AFTER Thanksgiving.  So much to be Thankful for! We're making our list each day on our monthly chalkboard!

Soaking up the remaing Autumn days!

It was nice to see the sunshine so much this weekend, even though it wind was mixed in with it.

Daddy knew mommy needed a little break on Saturday so he took the girls for a long walk to the park while Mommy got ready for her girls night and ran a few errands

We celebrated the Lizs' Birthdays at Benihana! Jenny was getting in to the birthday songs!

Happy Birthday yesterday, Lizzy Lou!

Breaking down the box from the new chair we got in our living room!

Such a good Daddy!

Happy All Soul's Day

The souls of the just are in the hand of God,
and no torment shall touch them.
They seemed, in the view of the foolish, to be dead;
and their passing away was thought an affliction
and their going forth from us, utter destruction.
But they are in peace………

Halloween 2013

We had a relaxing and fun filled day with lots of unhealthiness and sugar, because Hey, it's Halloween :)

Sally's party at school was yesterday. My sweet Rapunzel

Her entire class before they paraded around the school

Our monthly chalkboard

Sally did these crafts at school, I was SO impressed!!

I keep asking her if she really drew that pumpkin or if maybe one of the teachers helped.  I can't get over it.

We had to get donuts to celebrate the holiday ;)

Pre-trick-or-treat dress up so it's not so stressful to get the perfect picture when they're waiting to get out the door.

Great naps get rewarded with Wizard of Oz

Sally was enthralled! Grandma and George just got tickets for the 3 oldest grandchildren to see this play at Ordway!

Libby: Craaaazzzaaay witch Crazy

Sally: No Libby, she's not crazy, she's ugly because she's not kind.  Weren't you listening?

I should have taken a picture of our pumpkins lit up earlier this week...before the squirrels got to them.  A squirrel was inside Reid's pumpkin earlier today.

A Gopher M and on the side Rah and Sally's silly face

Happy pumpkin {eye's eaten by squirrels} and Mickey Mouse outline

Daddy talked with his professor to make sure it was okay if he missed the first half of class so he could take his girls trick-or-treating.  He got the okay! Someday the girls will know how blessed they are and how much he sacrifices for them.

Watching Mommy light the pumpkins.

Joey and Emily came over to celebrate with us! Thank you Emily for taking the picture!

Cinderella and Rapunzel!

Delores was the first house!

And off they went!
Happy Halloween!  Happy almost All Saint's and All Soul's Day!

Second Born

Second born's are known to march to the beat of their own drum.  I'm a second born, a middle child.  I remember sitting around the dinner table and being silly.  Always trying to lighten the mood.

Jenny--I'm a faiiiiiiry {inside joke}

Our little second born has a lot of those tendencies. What I love the most is that she's just being silly for her.  She doesn't try to do it to get anyone's attention, she's never known what it's like to have it all on her.  She's in her own world doing her own thing.

Sally's favorite part of school is to make art for people.  Yesterday she made one for her sister.  Melts this Mama's heart!

Love, heart balloons, a big 2 because she's almost 2 and a little girl with pigtails :)
Sally & Libby got some Halloween mail from Grandma and George yesterday

Mom, look!

Wizard of Oz, Grandma's favorite!  Libby--hmmmm how can I get this candy open?
**Happy Birthday Mama Roith

**Happy Halloween Eve!
