Birthday Celebrations!

We had a fun day of celebrating Libby and making sure she got to do all of her favorite things.  Mama's wiped out, thus our recovery day today of staying in jammies, going nowhere and cleaning the house!

Three really is harder than two, but it is also a magical age.  Libby really understood what it meant to celebrate a birthday and had so much fun that we were celebrating her!

Some pictures I took before her birthday to get one for the slideshow, I was able to finally post yesterday...I hope it stays up :)

Three, Grandpa, did you teach her how to do 3 or did she do this all on her own? :)
3 years old, 3 feet tall

We got to celebrate a little early on Sunday night at Pizza Luce, with Joey and Emily.  Thank you for the adorable outfits, you guys!  The purple dress above and the dress she wore on her birthday are some of those :)

Her Godfather. Love that he picked out the princess gift bag.  He also included a roll of quarters, a favorite gift of the girls'

Birthday Dessert!

We set her clock a little earlier so that we would be able to do the birthday scavenger hunt before the bus came for Sally.

From Sally and Emma

Grandma and George's gift was down by a note from Rusty!
Elsa shoes from Mommy and Daddy

Elsa dress from Mommy and Daddy

We were going to skip the whole Frozen theme for Christmas and her Birthday, but she loves it so much.  My sister also made a good point.  There are few toys kids will play with over and over and over, but dress up clothes is always a good buy!

Here's Elsa with her "long braid" and all!

Love my Sweetheart

"Now I'll give you a kiss, Mom!"
First stop was Trader Joe's so she could push a little cart and pick out her afternoon snack.  When they found out it was her birthday they gave her a pink flower!

Next stop was Cub to pick out a doughnut and a balloon

When we got home to eat her doughnut and quickly feed Emma she said, "well that was sure fun!" Makes it all worth it when they really appreciate it!

"Can I do my trains really quick before we go meet daddy?"
 I'm THREE

 Big Beautiful Brown Eyes

HUGE hit! Trumped princess stuff, all day.  She and Sally enjoyed it once Sally got home too!
Downtown to meet Daddy for lunch.  I always forget how much I dislike going downtown, too much hustle and bustle and I stress to make sure we don't stick out more than we already do...
The moment she spotted her Daddy

 "I have to go potty"
After naps I  had a tea party all set up and ready to play, another of her favorites
We had chicken nuggets and mac n cheese for dinner, her request.  We read her cards, listened to messages, and had phone calls.  Thank you for all that thought of her on her special day, we appreciate it!

Innocence, birthday wishes!
And just like that another year had flown by :(

Happy Birthday Sweet girl, you are so very special to us! Love you like crazy!!

Libby's 3rd Year Slideshow

Sorry for the length, you know I like to take pictures and it's so hard to narrow down.  Also, the songs that were chosen were those that are Libby's favorite from the year.

Enjoy!

Libby's 3!!

Happy 3rd Birthday to our Sweet Libby Jo today!!

The video slideshow is all made and ready to share, except Vimeo now has copyright regulations with music.  Anyone have an ideas of another way I can share our slideshows?

TGIF!

Phew! We made it to Friday.  I'm having one of those moments where there is so much to do, but I don't know where to start so I'll just do what I know, I'll blog :)

Thoughts:

I wasted an hour and a half today working with a centurylink service person to try and fix our internet...it didn't get fixed.  Instead of throwing my computer out the window I shut it down, made lunch for Libby said a few prayers and was able to figure it out on my own.  BUT I didn't get what I wanted and needed to get done today.  Sigh...might as well Blog, right?! :)

I think we're done with the "honeymoon" baby phase and we officially have 3 things and things are a little more trickier to get done now.  It's just a phase, we'll make it through, the house just might not look as put together through this phase.  And I'm not sure I'll get Christmas cookies made, guess it'll just help lose the pregnancy weight? Sigh

Sally loved being super star this week! It was very fun to go in to her classroom and put some faces to the names we hear so often!  Have I said how much I love our school choice for her?!

Libby turns 3 next week, how did that happen?! I'm going to be registering her for preschool in a few weeks.  What the?!

I'm happy to report I did get to finish the ribbon on the tree last night
Such a sweet girl building a tower while she waits for me to finish nursing Emma so we can go to Sally's school

Lunch time! Was so fun our friends Emily and Joe were going to have lunch with Evelyn too, so we all got to sit together.

Reading 7 Silly Eaters

Her corner of the room, she picked out the items and the pictures :)
Enjoying her Candy Cane that she shared with the class

Emma would have slept the whole time, but we had promised Sally she would get to show her class how she gets to hold her.  She didn't mind being woked up, she even smiled for the family picture, now we just need to teach her not to blink during pictures  :)

Last night I got out for a few minutes (more than that, just felt like minutes, since I'm on the clock for feedings...)to meet up with the Moms from Libby's ECFE class last year

K, I really do need to get some stuff done, both girls are sleeping and I should take full advantage.

Happy Birthday to Grandpa Joe today! Have a wonderful weekend! Toodles

Life's Busy

There's not a whole lot of down time these days. Busy Busy Busy time of year

I get about 45 minutes to myself each day and the blog just doesn't quite make it to the top of my list of things I should do during those 45 minutes :)

Emma has been awake for longer periods throughout the day, allowing for some play time  and SMILES, lots and lots of smiles!

We got our Christmas Tree...slowly it was decorated throughout the week.  We still need to finish off the ribbon

I'm needed all at once my everyone around 3:15, the only way we've been able to make it work is the Ergo, thank you Mary, for borrowing it to us

Emma likes it!

Quick check up from Dr. Libby, can't believe she's turning THREE next week, where does the time go?
 Oh Mom, you so funny!

Decorating the Tree!
Explaining where each ornament came from

Kari gave me the angel ornament five years ago as I was just about to begin my journey as a stay at home mom :) And then the Texas ornament in the background reminding me of the time Libby and I went out to visit the Martinsons!

Saint Nicholas came, as did the return of Rusty the Elf

My baby girl

Sleeping in her Christmas Jammies, Libby wore these too

Working on getting Emma to take the bottle. She took in no problem about a month ago...we should have stuck with it.  Daddy was able to get her to take a little by sneaking it in as she was just waking up.  We'll get there...
 Saturday mornings...

In Awe of the tree lights.  Love Christmas through innocent eyes!
Sisters, love this picture Reid captured

Visiting Santa at church!  Libby's crazy smile and Sally's over-the-top dress choice.  Emma, cool as a cucumber

Santa Secrets

 Daddy and his Girls
Mommy and her daughters, love Libby's look in this one

We had a date night on Saturday with Kari and Andy.  Celebrating Reid almost being done with grad school, our first night out since Emma and one last night out before Baby Martinson arrives!! So much to be thankful for. Thank you Andria and Kim for watching the girls and working on getting Emma to take the bottle!

So looking forward to regular date nights with my guy now that he's done with school!

Libby watching the Pilot get a car wash, a little field trip with Daddy

How cute is this growth chart?!  Kari made this as a gift for Emma. LOVE it! Thank you thank you talented Kari!!
I finally finished Emma's letters and got them hung on the wall!

Sally's creativity-Elsa
 Ariel
We've got a Super Star in our house this week! Sally is so excited it's finally her turn! We go in to have lunch with her and read a book to her class, tomorrow

One of my favorite Holy Days, Immaculate Conception.  The girls were so good at Mass, Emma slept the whole time and Libby enjoyed snuggling on my lap.  Sally looked so sweet in her uniform sitting with her classmates
 More smiles!
I wanted a then and now picture comparing Reid's first night of Grad school and his last night.

My time is running out as Libby is waking up in a few short minutes.  Long story short, REID IS DONE WITH GRAD SCHOOL!!!!!!!!!!! 3 1/2 years, 2 more kiddos and an MBA later, phew! What a road that was.  Glad it's now a memory!!!!
Weeeeeeeeeeee maaaaaaaaaaaaaade it!! yahooooooooo!  We had this hanging for him when he got home last night and a little gift

Emma's pretty excited about it too! We love you BP!!

Happy Tuesday, Happy Advent!! Toodles
