Four

My first born is 4. How did that happen?

This certainly was an up and down year for us. Three was a doozey. Why do they say two is terrible? They were terrific in comparison =) I'm ready to see what four has in store for us! I've always liked even numbers!
There were a fair share of times that I didn't win mom of the year award. But we made it through, and we're seeing our hard work pay off.  Obviously there were many many MANY more times of wonderful happy memories and the slide show from the year shows that.  This little lady is turning in to something quite amazing.  And, as I've said before, others notice it too, even when I'm not there to tell them she can be amazing.
I am quite emotional looking through the pictures and the previous year's slide shows {I love the blog for that!}. She's grown so much. How can Sally already be four? I only have one more full year with her and then she's off to Kindergarten!  This little girl that made me a mama and changed me forever. I love the last song on the slide show and the way it makes me feel and says what I feel about my oldest, four year old, Sally Ann.
**ps I apologize in advance for the length/speed of pictures. With how many pictures I take a day it is too hard to narrow it down. I think I narrowed it down at least 6 times.**

Happy Birthday my lover of giggles, pb&j sandwiches, people, princesses, pink, prayers, puppies, play {hmmm how many more p's can I come up with}, books, stories, food, Libby and the whole world around you.  I'm very proud of who you're becoming Sally Ann!

I love you forever, Baby Girl!

Love always,
Your Mommy ♥

Interview with my 4 year old

It's Sally's birthday eve.  Tomorrow, as tradition, will be her video slideshow from her 4th year.  Today is her interview.

Enjoy!

A few side notes from Mama:

**She had a lunchable ONCE when Nana and Grandpa brought it

**I don’t remember ever reading Little Red Riding Hood to her, I certainly wouldn’t say it is her favorite book

**Last year when I asked if she had anything to add she “loved daddy with her whole whole heart.” This year, her something to add was “I’m a duck.”

**She’s never thrown a banana in my face =)

If you feel like looking back, here's her 3 year old interview

Giddy Up

We had a mighty fine weekend.  It was a bit chilly on Saturday, but we still got outside.  Sunday was surprisingly very nice!

We were in for quite a surprise at Libby's interest in the Kentucky Derby!

Saturday Morning Donut Scavengers!

Anybody need a Kleenex?  Sally wasn't a "destroyer" like Miss L is!

Ugh, we shouldn't have to wear hats in May!

"Hey Libs, do you want to go for a ride? Okay, come on, let's go." Reid and I sat on the step and smiled...hard work is paying off

She wanted Daddy's gloves

Edward Scissor Hands
Girlfriend was quite excited for the Kentucky Derby!

Being Goofs after church

Yay, a nice day! We go nutso when we can finally play outside!

Miss Libby became a big girl this weekend.  The Nuk Fairy visited her Friday afternoon.  She was never super duper attached, so I figure we might as well do it before she becomes attached, just because.  So far, so good, fingers crossed!!

It's Sally's BIRTHDAY WEEK! Whoop whoop!

GO AWAY WINTER!!!

Not a whole lot to report today.  It is snowing outside, yet again.  I guess it is a good excuse to make sure my house stays clean and to prepare all of the "extras" I do at birthday time.  Interview, slide show and photo book.  Very time consuming stuff, but well worth the time...hopefully they will appreciate it some day!

At least we have a few fun play dates coming up.  The Selby's are coming over tonight for a little pizza party.  We made some cookies today, to prepare!

Baking with Rapunzel!
I forgot to mention that this year, for Reid's birthday I let Sally pick out her own few items to give to him.  I remember reading this on Kelle's Blog a while back.  Where you go to the Dollar Store and let them pick out a few items and a card.  Well, Sally picked out Mentos, Crunch Bars {actually Reid's favorite candy bar}, and this. If you've talked to Reid recently, you know how crazy right on Sally was with that :) Her card was pretty silly too.  It had cows and cats on the front and it said something like,  "It's your Birthday, so party until the cows come home! Or until the cat calls the police. Whichever comes first. Happy Birthday."

Hope you're enjoying your Friday and that there's some sunshine somewhere in it!!

Happy Weekend!

Grandma came for a quick Visit

Happy May Day!

Thanks for stopping by Grandma! It sure was a nice surprise for the girls!

Sally took these last two pictures, she captured two great moments!

Sally's preschool was introducing some sign language and incorporated the ABC's.  They sent home a little booklet and said some kids know a few here and there and some might need extra help.  Here's how Sally did. {It's kind of a long video, at least watch until J, mine and Reid's favorite}
