Mother's Day

Reid and the girls did a great job of making me feel extra special on Mother's Day. Reid came home from work Friday with Pink Tulips and Steaks! Sunday morning we went to 8:30am Mass, picked up our BOGO Caribous and headed to Como Zoo. In the afternoon Uncle Joey came over to play outside and we grilled steaks. Daddy and Sally topped off the night/weekend with Sally's BOGO Cold Stone!!
I had a baby shower {Yay baby girl Lindberg #3} Saturday night so Reid hung with the girls

Sally's Birthday Party

We tried to tough it out Saturday morning, but it was too dang cold.  The 40 mph wind gust had quite a bite to them.  Once everyone arrived at the park, we relocated the party to our house.  It could have been a complete disaster.  24ish people in our little house, but we managed.  The kiddies were super duper well behaved and all got along...so did the adults :)  Thank you to all who were able to make it {and willing to tough out the cold weather!}to make Sally feel extra special! We appreciate you!

**Thank you Amy for taking the pictures on my phone.

**I'm bummed I forgot to get a group shot of the kids!

Daddy and Libby toughing out the first 20 minutes at the park

We would have been miserable had we tried to tough out the full two hours at the park

Banana Cupcakes!

He's got the baby fever too!
Num Num!

Sorry Andy, your eyes were closed.  Just looks like you're looking down at your adorable peanut!

This & That

Happy Friday!!

Mommy likes to play too

Libby loves to show off her "button"

Kind of loving life right now...even though it was a rainy day yesterday. I'm just really happy to be where I'm at in life right now.

Waiting for Dad's car to pull up

She thinks she's big time when she can climb the stairs with a railing by herself!

Reid is amazed at how tough Libby is.  She skinned  her knee and didn't even notice it.  Sally would have cried like her leg was cut off.

We got to go downtown to see Daddy while Sally was at preschool.  They had a free session to check our Biometric numbers to get a rebate reward toward our health insurance, win win!
Have a fantabulous weekend!  Happy Mother's Day to all you Mamas out there!

Birthday Recap

Sally's 4th Birthday was a success.  Minus her losing her balloon {One of Mommy's worst feelings, seeing a balloon flying free}.  Her balloon got stuck in a tree and as you can imagine, she was in hysterics.  I was able to calm her down, and during her nap her balloon made it's way out of the tree.

Funny thing, this made her feel better.  She said, "Oh, that's wonderful, then it made it's way up to Heaven and now it's with Grandpa Joe.  I bet he's so happy!"  "And Mommy, did Grandpa Joe love princesses?"  To which I replied, "You bet, he had two of his very own, Jenny and me!" And all was well in the world again! Phew!

She talks about and asks questions about Grandpa Joe quite a bit.  In fact at church on Sunday she pointed to a guy who was sitting in front of us and whispered, "Look Mommy, it's Grandpa Joe!"  This man did indeed look very much like Grandpa Joe from the back.  Makes you wonder what goes on in little kids' dreams and mind. Makes me smile.

Especially because way back when we were on our way to the hospital to deliver Sally, my sister was telling her, then 2 year old son, that "Auntie Jackie and Uncle Reid were on their way to the hospital to have their baby."  William replied, "Yep, Auntie Jackie, Uncle Reid AND Grandpa Joe!"

Okay, back to the birthday! Sally woke up to a fun little scavenger hunt which in the end led her to a new scooter!

The First Clue on her Scavenger hunt!

She got to go for a quick spin in jammies and no shoes

Happy that Daddy got to stay for a few extra minutes in the am to enjoy the scavenger hunt and birthday cupcake

Special plate, and Birthday mug with apple juice!

Thank you Grandma and George for the Rapunzel hair!

My girl.

She's never loved a gift this much. Every minute she has asked if she can go on her scooter.  Can I go really quickly before school?  Can I ride my scooter before lunch? How about after nap? I love it!

IT'S MY SISTER'S BIRTHDAY!!

We went to go feed the ducks {duck} before the sprinkles arrived

Tea Party with Rapunzel!

The sprinkles came so the Birthday Princess enjoyed playing with her new Easel.

Birthday Dinner at Noodles!

Birthday Cake time! She picked out a "Brave" cake.  She insisted on chocolate! She ate only the frosting...
It was a fun trip picking up her birthday cake though, as many of the workers told her Happy Birthday.  They know us pretty well...we're there at least once if not two or three times a week.  3 of the produce guys even sang Sally Happy Birthday!

As I checked on her before I headed to bed last night, I whispered one more Happy Birthday in her ear.  I just love this Mom gig! Crazy how quickly time really does go.  You hear it over and over, but it is hard to believe it when you're in the thick of the infant/newborn stage.  Four, my first born is really 4! Wow.  What a sweet little girl she is.  She wraps her dolls up in her blankets and they get their own pillow and tucked in her bed while Sally sleeps right next to them, each and every night. Love you Sweet Sally Ann!
