100 Days Smarter

Last week Libby celebrated that she was 100 days smarter.  I was able to hang out with her for a bit in her classroom to help with the 100th day of school activities.

"Thank you God for 100 things-
For the flowers that bloom and the bird that sings.
For the sun that shines
and the rain that drops.
For ice cream and raisins and lollipops.

Thank you God for the gift of time-
For the clocks that tick and the bells that chime,
for days gone by,
and future cheers,
for seasons and moments and hours and years.

Thank you for the people who give life pizzazz-
For folks who play sports, those who act and play jazz,
for friends and for families,
for folks of all races,
for hands that give help and for bright smiling faces.

Thanks for the planet you give as our home-
For the sky with its clouds, and the oceans white foam,
for the creatures and critters,
the lakes, falls and fountains,
for hills and for valleys, for canyons and mountains.

Thank you, God, for the gift of your son-
For the love Jesus shared, for the battle He won
over death for the promise
that He would be near,
to lead and to guide and to hold us all near.

Thank you God, for a hundred things-
For autumn and pumpkins, for dragonfly wings,
for Thanksgiving dinners,
for seasides and shore,
for a hundred things, and a thousand things more."

Checking off the numbers she is finding around the room

and then we got to partake in one of my favorite nights of the year, Trivia Night.  Thankfully we are all hearty Minnesotans and we didn't let a snow storm cancel the event.

Our team theme this year was Holidays.  Reid and I were 4th of July.

 Their Bromance Anniversary...2 years strong!
So thankful that our little town understands the importance of plowing our trails.  The best kind of snow storm is when it's followed by full sunshine and no wind.  Loving our beautiful walk

Trying on hats.  Alisha gave me some wise advice to practice wearing them often so he gets used to them and won't pull them off all summer
Sweet love notes from our Kindergartener
Thought this quote was pretty accurate
and then it got super warm out and we lost most of our snow, but during the melting it was perfect snowman building.  Emma made a little snow chick, we named her Peep

Enjoying my Lenten Daily Devotions.  Check out Dynamic Catholic so many wonderful resources.  I promise you don't have to be Catholic to enjoy
One last quote before I head downstairs to watch a show the girls produced:

"God's grace is always pouring down on you...
question is, are you using an umbrella or a bucket?"

Thanks Father Don! We're excited to have you come stay with us!

Happy 37th Birthday to my Seeeester!
