Suit Up!

Have you seen this article floating around the web?  The one encouraging Mamas to put on their swimsuit and swim with their kiddies?  Here, take a second and read it.  It's not too long, short and sweet, I'll wait for you.

I liked it, it made me smile.  For the most part, I'm a suiter upper and a jumper inner and a climb the stairs and let's go down the water slide. No matter how unflattering it is to try and get out of a tube at the end of the slide, pregnant belly and all.  I love the water and I love to swim and I love to see the joy on my girls' faces when Mommy takes off her cover up to come in the pool.  I'm not going to lie, as the baby belly grows I more and more resemble a nice plump strawberry with my red maternity swim suit.  But you know what? I'm growing a baby for a third time. I don't care what I look like, and can I get an Amen for how awesome a pool feels when you're pregnant?  I'm living it up this summer at the pool, it's going to be quite a different scene next summer adding a third sidekick to the pool that will only be 8 months old.

So, suit up, who cares what you look like, the memories are way more important!

Sisters, playing fetch...Libby throwing a toy dolphin for Sally to swim and get :)
Yesterday was another top 10 day.  The weather was great, the girls were listening well and getting along with one another and we had a grand ol' time at the pool, and nap and grilling and playing outside after dinner.  It was wonderful, filled with lots of memories and lots of Thank You, Mommy, that was Great Daddy!

Can you spot the live ones? :)
Enjoying a delicious Mocktail :)

Cheers!
The girls collecting rocks

The extra fun summer activities certainly knock the girls out. They are sleeping within 5 minutes of putting them down and they've been sleeping in each morning. Win Win!

The only downfall is they don't get to send Daddy off for the day. "Can I send Daddy a picture to say have a good day?"
Sally loves to learn, she chose this over watching a show

"Can I write too, please?"

Last week Kate and Patrick stopped by to pass on some hand-me-downs, Sally only loved them a little bit... ;)  Thank you Clark Family!

Happy Tuesday, Happy Day!

Weekend of This & That

Sally finished up her week at VBS! She had a great time and can't wait to do it again next summer.  They welcomed everyone to join in to dance and sing for the last song, Libby was quite excited!

Meanwhile, Daddy had gotten started with his guys weekend in Alexandria, with a little fishing!  Deli caught a keeper!

They were greeted with a visitor...

The girls and I headed up to Alexandria as well, so the girls could hang with Nana and Grandpa and Mommy could come and go as she needed :)

I took advantage of nap time and snuck in a quick visit to meet Landon!!  He is so precious, congratulations Faith family!!

Libby isn't a fan of ice cream for dessert, so she chose yogurt.  Nana was sure to add some sprinkles to spice it up :)

The local theater was having a production of Beauty and the Beast Jr.  Which included 60 local children.  Nana picked up tickets and we surprised Sally by going Friday night!

It didn't start until 7pm, so Libby didn't make the cut.  She got to have special time with Gramps

Daddy got to enjoy a beautiful sunset

The next morning was the first day of Summer!! yay!

The girls helped Nana make some Cinnamon Rolls

And Mommy got to enjoy her coffee!

We hung out in our jammies for a bit before Mommy headed off to a Baby Shower for Baby Thompson!

Libby has on some of Nana's old "click click" shoes and is pushing her grocery cart
Little Mother Hen enjoyed bringing her baby around with her and feeding her

"I'm going to send Daddy an e-mail so he can come here"

Daddy got to go shooting with the boys

 The Guys

The girls enjoyed some more outside time and dinner at the DQ while Mommy headed to Saint Cloud for a girls night, hosted by Meghan!!

The Best of Friends, and a baby boom that is about to hit :)

Sunday morning we were reunited with Daddy at church!  We went out for breakfast to celebrate Grandpa's upcoming birthday!

Daddy shared some breadsticks from his Salad Bar

Mmm Chocolate Milk

Looking as cute as ever in her new outfit from Meggers--Thank You!!
Daddy got to ride home with the girls and Mommy got some peace and quiet on her drive home.  We unpacked, mowed the lawn and hit the hay a little early as we were all a bit tired.

Note: this was L's first trip without her pack n play, she did great!!--yay!!

Happy New Week!

Vacation Bible School

We've entered a new stage, taxi mom.

Sally has been enjoying VBS this week, it's only 2 1/2 hours and those hours fly by.

Can you spot Sweet, Shy, Innocent Sally?  Her first morning, she was excited that Grace was one of her leaders!
Before I know it, it's time to get back in the car and pick her up.  We've been doing a lot of in and out of the car this week.  A challenging task with a super duper stubborn and independent 2 1/2 year old!

Waiting to pick up Sally, enjoying the music

Sally has green shorts on

We helped Delores out on Tuesday so she could go to a funeral.  Sally was excited to add Grady to the car because that meant she got to test out the third row.  She loved it and wants to stay there forever...only a few more months until that's reality!

Daddy started his summer class on Tuesday, so I had a date night with my girls at the pool!

Only 34!! more class sessions to go {From now until the beginning of December} until he's D-O-N-E, but who's counting? ;)

Part of our crazy schedule this week is that Sally also started her afternoon park program.  We pick up from VBS, the girls eat some lunch in the car.  We stop home to finish lunch, go to the bathroom, reapply sunscreen, grab water and a snack and head out to her park program.  More in and out of the car.

It was two big new things this week for Sally.  Something out of her comfort zone.  I'm not going to lie, Monday's drop off was even hard on Mommy.  It didn't help that the building she was in was all glass, so she stood and waved at us the entire walk back to our car and as we pulled out of the parking lot, with a nervous face.  She was at a new place with new faces and knew no one.  I was very impressed with her willingness and how brave she was. The entire two and a half hours I thought of her nonstop, wished for L to wake up from her nap so we could go get Sally.  Of course Libby slept longer than normal, and we picked Sally up right on time.  I found her like this

Making a beaded necklace for Mommy
She had a great time and was excited to go back again the next day :)

All of this running back and forth as well as the rain this morning has made me appreciate and look forward to the fact that Sally will be taking the bus to school, which will pick her up and drop her off right outside of our house.  I can't imagine loading everyone up {a newborn!!} in the dead of winter twice a day every day.

Libby and I have had some fun with our little bit of time in the mornings too.  Yesterday we were able to meet up with Liz and Milo for a walk around Lake of the Isles!

On this rainy morning, I'm enjoying a concert put on by Libby :)

I know everyone is singing this song, but I don't think I've remembered to record it :)

An update on Sister Room--continued SUCCESS!! We've had no issues whatsoever!  Hooray!  The girls love that they get to come down in the morning together, if both are up, and I love my sweet morning greetings!

Holding their nightgowns like princesses hold their gowns...of course!
Happy Thursday {already!!}! Happy Almost Friday and Happy Almost First Day of SUMMER!

Father's Day 2014

Reid had a great Father's Day yesterday, he said so himself :)

Sally created this one day during one of her quiet times in the basement.  She mimicked the one we have in our kitchen.  It says Happy BP {Big Papa- one of Reid's nickname}Day with lots of decorations :)

Working hard on Daddy's card

Each girl answered a survey about their Daddy

The girls' first true love--their Dad

Thank you for being such a wonderful father to our girls (and baby), we sure are lucky!!

After naps we headed over for a walk around a neighborhood of Daddy's choosing and then we had a picnic dinner and play time at the park!

Even pregnant mama's have fun at the park...

Sally crushed a nap

So she got to stay up a little later and enjoy some Cold Stone with just Mommy and Daddy.

I'll leave you with one last Father's Day Message, it's a tear jerker
