Video Catch Up

Sally riding the pony

Libby riding the pony

The Petting Zoo

Rock Climbing

Libby was being a little nut at dinner the other night. I don't know if she was being silly or if she has remembered from before when Sally doesn't like something and I have her try and close her eyes and eat it. Either way, she's a goofball!

Signs of

a successful play day

Straight to the bath, even before dinner
A friendly neighborhood.  We know our mail carrier's name, Meghan. And we share a frozen gogurt on a hot summer day

Old friends making new memories

We miss these guys! So fun to spend the day together and do a house swap.  Wives at one and husbands at another
Successful Park Yogurt trip! We love FroYo
Sally's preschool had a parish carnival that we were invited to.  We headed over after Sunday morning Mass.  It was amazing! Everything was free, but the food.  They had pony rides, rock climbing, petting zoo, bouncy houses, games, prizes, balloons, clowns...amazing things!!

Sally's favorite animal is a horse, she's never ridden one, she got to ride a pony, twice!

Libby did too!

The coolest petting zoo.  You got to go in and walk around with all of the animals

4 little pigs ;-)

Sally insisted on trying out the climbing wall.  She did VERY well! I'm impressed with her bravery!! Videos to come, tomorrow

After the Vikings game Daddy took the girls to the park.  Libby insisted on walking home and pulling the wagon herself...

It started out as a weekend with no plans and ended as one that will make it to the memory books!!

Sally gets to meet her teachers today and has her first day of school on Wednesday! We're alllllll verrrrrrrry excited :)

Happy to be a part of every first in between!

My girlfriend sent me this video, as her little boy started Kindergarten this week.  Grab a Kleenex.  But celebrate, you made it through the first week of school {most of you, we start next week :)}

Here's an article I loved reading this week: Moms, when are you going to learn...

Not much more to report here. Except, why do short weeks always seem like the longest? Oy

Looking forward to my girls night tonight!!

Happy Friday, Happy Everything!!

Daddy's First Day of School

Daddy had his first day of school yesterday.  He'll only have one more of those before he's done.  6 semesters down, 4 to go.  Chugging along as he says.

Sending him off with lots of love and support
We had Kate come babysit last night, as Reid was at class and I had Sally's pre-school orientation.  We got to pick her up from her tennis practice.  The girls enjoyed watching her and learning what tennis was.  We hope to make it to one of her matches!  Thanks Kate for watching the girls!

We're enjoying our lazy week, before everything starts up next week.  Libby likes to sort the junk mail

I forgot about this video I took of Libby last week.  She's still at the age where it is hard for most to understand her, unless you live with her, but I know I'll like to look back at the video some day :)

Happy start to the NFL 2013 season.  Best of luck to all of you Fantasy Football Players!

Summer's not over

Lucky for us, summer's not over until the weather says it is over.  For many, today was the first day back to school.  Sally doesn't start pre-school until Wednesday next week.  They're also done a week before memorial day...shortest school year possible!

Even though today wasn't a first day of school for us I still was a bit nostalgic. Next year Sally will be starting kindergarten.  How can that be???  Remind me to soak up every last ounce of this last school year of her being here.  Remind me especially, come February.  The winter doldrums.

Today was approximately my 1,305th day of being blessed to stay home with our little ladies.  I wouldn't change it for the world!! It was a wonderful ordinary day!

One singing and one coloring while I'm still in my work out clothes sipping my coffee. Mornings are my favorite

Dollies
Love this weather.  We can finally go to the parks in the afternoon because the slides aren't too hot to play on.  aaaaaaand we can reclaim the parks because most of the kids are back at school.

I let Sally bike to the far park today.  Usually if she bikes, Daddy is along too, just in case she needs an extra hand or push.  I was very much impressed with her endurance and bravery! It also kept Libby more than occupied in the stroller, which was easier to push! Win-Win

Continuing to enjoy our summer until the forecast says otherwise.

The rest of our pictures from Labor Day

We did a jammie walk the other night.  One was a little more cooperative than the other.  We had to pull out all of the tricks and the routes to keep Libby from seeing parks and slides! You can't reason with a toddler so you just put them on someone's shoulder and call it a day.

Trouble in the neighborhood.  Park Yogurt had their "soft opening" on Monday.  Ummmm FroYo only 4 blocks from our house??? not good.  I was happy to see that it was packed last night with high school kids coming from a soccer game! It took everything in me not to swing through.  I had just finished yoga, I either deserved it or shouldn't because it totally would defeat the purpose of working out. I'm sure we'll be there Friday for snack ;)

We met our neighbor friends at the park.  Love this little fluffball...Daddy likes to do her hair right in the middle like a whale spout

Sisters, matchy match

I love my job!

Happy Hump Day already and happy 1st day of school for Daddy.  Go get 'em BP!

999

Today marks my nine hundred ninety ninth blog post. Wowzers!  It also marks the end of summer and first day of school for most.  My little hooligan doesn't start until next week.

We enjoyed our Labor Day Weekend.  It was a nice mixture of both families, busy and relaxing, with a bonus family day on Monday!

Collecting Acorns to throw in the lake
Dinner at the Deck Bar with Grandma
Waiting for the Pelicans to land

Blessing Saint Francis

Later we found Sally had put a turtle hat on him and she was bowing and saying an Our Father...Saint Sally

Grandma does the best French Braids

On of my favorite parts from the weekend was how much Sally got to bond with her cousins.  Now that she's older she can run off and play with them and I don't have to worry too much.

I got to check out Reid's deer stand
Horsie ride from Daddy

Morning walk with a stop at the Park with Grandma

Daddy helped the Uncles build a big deer stand for Bob and his kids!
Sally learned how to play spoons

There was a quick little storm that came through Saturday evening.  It sure made for a pretty sunset and drive home from the farm
Sadly we realized how very few fields Sally sees.  She kept pointing to all of the open space and saying "WOW, I could fly my kite in that open field, or that one, or that one or that one..."

Sunday Brunch with Nana & Gpa before hitting the road to come home

**Happy Birthday Pat!!
